i cant stand them, the one downer for me yesterday was the fact that there were empty seats in the qblock which is usually full to the brim. there were also some people that clearly werent members like a group of wallys wearing half and half scarves and a family of 4 who spent the entire game seated and staring at the backs of those stood up in front of them (they left 10mins before the end). every home game is vital for us and we need to be the 12th man, what we dont need is empty seats and tourists in parts of the ground that generally get the rest of the ground going. i hate those leeches who are ripping people off and prevent genuine supporters getting into the ground for the face value of a ticket. rant over

good article in AKUTR's about the stewards at Rangers harassing supporters, yet do **** all about the blatant touting outside the ground
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

Couldn't believe the tourists who just sat there yesterday, the whole game they sat looking up at the roof or just stared into the backs of the people in front. I pointed it out to the stewards and told them to move them down the front where the netting is but instead of doing it they just went around pointing it out to there colleagues and laughing about it.

Sorry not having this one bit.

One game....ONE game in the last few years has been hard to get a ticket for real QPR fans and that was Leeds. If "real" QPR fans wanted to be there yesterday they would have been there.

This might be a stupid question but why do the touts ask to buy tickets 10 mins before KO ?

Also I coming out if White City Station on Saturday there was 3 touts operating next to the Old Bill just outside the station just ignoring them...what that all about?

Well, it would suggest that the police don't care about the touts. Further (and stronger) evidence of this, for me, came last season when I asked an PC just outside White City station why he and his colleague were doing nothing about the touts who could clearly be seen on the either side of the road. "We're just here to keep an eye on the crowd," he told me. "So you're not going to do anything about the touts?" I asked. He just looked away and started speaking about something else with another officer, thereby ending the conversation.

sounds like the police at millwall that were more interested in staring at us rather than even acknowledging that there was loads of monkey chanting and hitler salutes coming out of the home end.

how do you know that 'real fans' didnt try to buy tickets but couldnt because either the tickets were sold out in the cheaper sections or completely??? i know plenty of rangers fans that cant afford gold or silver section tickets let alone the prices the touts charge.

What has that got to do with his dislike of touts and the fact there are people sitting, yes sitting in Q block when any real fan knows the majority of that part is standing...

What ever way you want to look at it pal, fortunately or un, as long as supply and demand exists, they will always be there.

Sometimes I feel the way you do, yet sometimes I see the touts side of things. I'm sure all of us have relied on a tout at some point in the past. I have a few times when going to gigs and what not. It's just one of those things. They will always exist while we're in the prem.

Because the touts are not stopping fans getting in. The tourists that everyone likes to sl4g off are changing the crowd from 14.5k to 18k. They are not stopping anyone getting in or making the atmosphere any worse.

In fact they spend more money on match day....so are in fact supporting the club quite well.

I have no problem with the tourists but they shouldnt be in upper loft, suppose to be members only remember...

Touts do stop certain fans getting in by buying tickets at face value and then trying to charge more for them.

Nail and head spring to mind

Nobody was slagging off the tourists, however, if you think they contribute to the atmosphere the same way a genuine qpr fan does youre wrong.
