    - playing a really high line, and who wants to see Hill vs Agbonlahor or Benteke in a race?

    or

    - having a massive space between the CBs and our strikers, which would be covered only by our two CMs, vs Villa's 3+

I don't mind having a very attacking mindset, but I think we would have to play 433 to do this. Not sure which of the front four I would drop though..
I know what you mean, it would be a gamble to a degree, but thhe thing with Hoilett and Townsend though is they make a 4 in midfield and work back plenty. They can remain disciplined to hold a strong midfield when needed, but by by the fact they're in the team we have the pace on the counter or when on top to really hurt them and overun their back four.

It'll either be a win for them, us or a draw.

Our setup last weekend against Sunderland was the bum duffer...stick with that.

Same back 4, Townsend, Hoilett and Remy all must start as they offer pace and attacking flair. The question is will be need to go long or can we play football quickly? If we can then we won't need to start Bothroyd or Zamora so we then have 3 cm players and I would opt for Mbia, Granero or Park and Jenas.

Harry said he knew we had to win on Saturday....which we did. I actually think with the fixtures we have coming up this is a must not lose, rather than a must win and I can see Harry going back to a safer formation.

He has favoured 4-2-3-1 and I think he may go back to that, but with an attack minded 3 protected by 2 sitting. Possibly change it to 4-4-2 depending on how things are panning out. I can't see us going for the throat first half.

Also, although Zammo did ok, he looked very uncomfortable to me - so would not be surprised if he is not in the starting line up.

Play the same team. Aston villas defence is horrendous having bobby or jay up top leaning back will cause problems, espicially as none of their defence are big and strong.

They are not Utd, City etc, they are a poor side up for beating... we should pressurise them.
Agree with you about the advantages of sticking with the winning system and team from Saturday as being a strong option.

I think basically copying the winning 433 team vs Southampton or the winning 442 team vs Sunderland is the way to go.

The Sunderland 442 is better than any of these teams people are suggesting without Zamora/Bothroyd who have been the focal point of the attacks past couple games.

But I ended up plumping for the Southampton 433 system as my preference cos starting 442 away from home adds an extra gamble on top of all the others in the team that makes me nervous.

But something I don't know is how Villa line up too, what formations they use at home, does anyone know?

Don't know entirely what formation to play. Could go 4-4-1-1 QPRvVilla.jpg

Mbia and Park play a bit deeper, Hoilett and Townsend bomb when we have the ball and compact when defending. Remy floating to pick up balls left and right. Bothroyd the target man in place of Bobby.

We mustnt give them too much respect.

They lost at home to Southampton (0-1), Newcastle (1-2) Wigan (0-3), Spurs (0-4), Everton (1-3) and drew with the likes of Norwich, Stoke and west Brom.

Add to that they lost to a 4th tier Bradford over a 2 leg semi final....

                      They lost 8-0 at Chelsea.

Only Wigan and Reading have conceeded more goals in the league.

Their defence and midfield is probably the most inesperienced in the league.

Get at them and they will panic, as will the crowd which will make matters worse for them.

Their attack is their strength, so we must stiffle the ball getting there but not to the detriment of our own team imo.

This is no world beating side, it's Villa who bar the odd flash in the pan performance (anfield) have been shocking this season.

They were quite good against Man. City though.
Key for us will be to prevent them scoring an early goal and if we succeed in doing so the home crowd(Holte-end) especially will turn against them.

id go with the same team that won on saturday. i knew last saturday when i saw the teamsheet, that you probably wouldnt be able to pick a better team from our squad if you tried. i reckon that same team will be to much for villa which ever way they try to play. bothroyd a lil unluckt to miss out again and tarbs hopefully on the bench , but keep the same team arry.
