  • Great result and fight from the players.

I've slated m'bia but for me yesterday was his best game in a rangers shirt. Gave allot more than just pointless workrate so credit where it's due. His passing was decent and he played with purpose. He needs to keep that level up and I also thought Park was tidy on the ball. He showed composure when we most needed it.

For me the most refreshing thing that gives us hope are the wingers. We must play townsend and Holliet is every remaining game because they make things happen. Running at players and both very direct, something we have been crying out for.

The only disappoint for me was Zamora, who I thought looked a yard slow. Didn't offer anything but 1 knock down. I am not sure if we will stick with 2 upfront against Villa but I am not sure Zamora is the answer, very poor game from him.

Villa game is huge but at least the players are now responding and that gives us all hope.

The only thing that annoys me and isn't a negative but needs to be looked at is our set pieces. Watching Man u and chelsea today you always find the set piece takers always swinging in the ball with pace and bend. We just tend to always do the same thing regardless of who takes it. It's always floated into the box which is a defenders dream. Lets whip the ball in with pace, you never know because anything can happen, it could bounce of their player and set us up.

Anyway we need to stick together, the fans were excellent and we need to keep up the good support.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Mostly agree here besides the comments about Zamora. He is such an intelligent player, yesterday he held the ball up well so many times, and sprayed it out to Townsend. People are expectings goals from him, and yeah he is a striker, but his all around play is second to none. Let's just say that without him we'd play very very differently, and not nessecarily for the best. Underated player.

I appreciate what he offers Kent and we do need a big man to hold the ball up and bring players into play but for me I felt that he didn't offer what I just described. Imo he should of been far more effective and it's not often you actually think Titus Bramble had a decent game. The bloke is basic and I just felt that Zamora should of had much more joy against what is a very basic defender.

Playing with 1 hip can't be easy but thought Bobby had a good game. He gets kicked from pillar to post with no protection at all from refs

          This.

Plus Zamora is farked, everybody can see that. He needs his op and his playing with injections and it's showing.

            Again, spot on with this.

Ok but I am not sure playing a partially disabled striker is the way to go in our position.

Didn't do it for me and apart from 1 knock down he did very little. I know we aren't blessed with a replacement, ie not sure Betty is the answer but I wonder if harry will opt for 2 strikers against a decent ish villa side.

I felt sunderland were extremely poor.

He's more than just flick on's though, he's a focal point. Players know that they can get the ball upfield and there's someone there to keep hold of the ball. Imagine Remy and Mackie up front, ball goes up there and 99% of the time they'll lose it and we'll be on the backfoot. It changes our attacking mentality having him up there, gives others confidence that we can go and attack without having to dribble round 3/4 players first. I appreciate your point, but I think he's outstanding. Most big front men can't do half of what he does (crouchie, heskey haha and carroll)

Totally agree and perfect comparison with Mackie/Remy situation. One reason Cisse was so bad was not having Bobby alongside him. Each time ball went up top we lost it!

Do you just read this board after a match then post your thoughts 24hrs later? You've only repeated what everyone else has already said
