  • Todays big points!!

So, back to back wins!! What a feeling, the Loft really lifted today when all three goals went in - Fricking loved it!!

We didn't do much wrong, we worked hard for 90 minutes, created plenty of chances, played good football and scored 3 very good goals.

Things I did notice, that people had been talking about this week on here in recent weeks. Mostly about individuals, would be interesting to see peoples thoughts now because this team did nothing wrong today.

The main difference for me was the attacking options we had, we almost had 4 strikers. Great options going forward and great to see wingers attacking the by line.

    1. The players attitude when we scored goals showed great team spirit and willing to win. All of them looked happy with the goal.

    2. Mbia - What a rock he was, as Ive said before he works solid and he was superb today. FACT that he isnt sh1t. He does have his days where he just makes silly mistakes, but today he turned up and played amazing IMO.

    3. Park, 2/2! Enough said! Was a little worried prior to the game when I heard he was CM. But he did excellently with Mbia.

    4. Jose! Solid at right back did very little wrong.

    5. Zamora linked up well for 45 minutes but thats all we can expect, which is a really shame

    6. Remy, great finisher. Top signing, works hard for 90 minutes. Wants the ball, makes great runs and never gives up.

    7. Hoillet another player who took a lot of stick but gave the Sunderland defence nothing but problems today.

We just cant lose to Villa next weekend. Win at home and draw away!! Thats how it works, a point at least!!

    You R's

agree on Jose - he has had pelters but had a great game. Mbia - best game I can recall. Hoilett was great 1st half.

Big thing for me was the fans - we got behind the team instead of on their backs like we can do....maybe because even when we went behind we had been playing so well....I think it makes a difference.

With the players we have we shouldn't be in this situation.
The Team Spirit shows now, which has been lacking most of the season!!

No, I disagree to some extent. We should be doing slightly better however...

I think with Remy, Samba and Townsend we now have 3 very good players. But this all came In January, so late on.

However some players are just not as good as they was before they joined us. (Park etc)

I think with Park and Granero they wasn't used to what was required of them when they joined.
Both have to work so much harder for us than what they had to do at Madrid and Mancs.
But Park had a great game today, and was his best performance so far for us

I must say given how big the game was I thought the crowd was flat until we went ahead maybe because of nerves but I thought it would have been buzzing but it was not in my view.

Another positive about Bosingwa he takes a decent set piece. Don't think he hit the first man with any of his balls into the box.

If we get them right against Villa given how they struggle from dead balls and hit Samba we are in business

Very good point about Bosingwa set pieces such a difference when you actually beat the first man

I even re-watched the game, and Mbia was immense, he truly was!!! Thats the player I know he is, rather than bad mistakes he occasionally makes!
