Before the game today I was told the shocking news that a great friend of mine and I am sure many other QPR fans and an avid reader of this site Gary Potter mostly known as Gary the Plumber died this morning aged only 47 after going to hospital with a severe headache which turned out to be something to do with a clot on the brain
His partner of 27 years Sally wanted as many of his friends to know before the game so they could maybe have a pint in his memory but until I spoke with her after the game wanted the news off the internet until their daughter Kirsty had announced it in her own way
Gary was one of those fans who was always there in the dark days of our lower league days and went to every game home and away without fail including all the night away games and Sally and Kirsty still do the same now and I will fully admit I cried when I tried to offer her some kind of words of comfort today
What she asked was that I could try and find out if anyone knew if she could arrange that his ashes were laid on the pitch and if anyone could point us in the right direction then please PM me so I can pass on the info
RIP mate
