  • Aministration within 18 months if we are relegated

We will be in administration within 18 months if we go down, 89 million debt with this years to come, no way are our rich owners going to right that off, that debt will be reduced if we manage to sell our most valuable players, but we will have to bring in players that are good enough to get us out of the championship.

Even if we stay up we will still make big loses as we would have to strengthen the side, and the only way we can stop the losses is build a bigger stadium, but we still have to get the fans in to fill it, ok the TV money will be increased but will that be enough, I would like to hear a statement from our owners on the situation of the amount of losses that we are racking up and putting our minds at rest.

I think they will get fed up with it and lose interest.

I believe that the owners are in it for the long-haul. They would not be trying to build a new stadium etc. otherwise - that was never going to happen within a couple of years whether we stayed up or not. The fact that we now owe them a lot of money I see as a pretty positive thing as they are not likely to just walk away and write it off. It makes more sense to me to continue to try and make the club successful and recoup the money that way.

I don't think any kind of statement would be likely and if it did come it wouldn't really mean anything. Not exactly a contract is it?

I reckon we'll be alright for a few years yet. But then what do I know?

Not a lot of choice mate. Any money owed to them is owed to them by themselves.

How long have we got if we don't go down?

I dont get why 18 months if relegated? If they are not here for the long haul then we will be in admin before the start of next season. To get up next year we will still need to rebuild to get the right character then they that costs money, if they dont want to spend then we wont go up and their losses will just get bigger.

Not knowing the shareholders i can only go on what they say and they have repeatedly said they are staying regardless.
One for all.... and all for one

Think Macca's had a pretty bad day, not a bad poster and this seems very out of character.

Macca football gates are a thing of the past. They used to be a major factor back in the 90's when we lost our best players to teams like Newcastle who could gain 50k every week.

Now you have massive money with Sky and that money is going up every year. Gates receipts don't add up to what the television revenue offers and next season a premier league side would be looking at 50million min, so think you're looking at the issue if we get relegated.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It's not going down that worries me... it's coming back up. There are no guarantees in the Championship. Can we survive one season down there? Probably. Any longer than that and we're in it deep.

there have been several statements from TF and PB saying we are ok financially if we go down.

Apart from Arsenal i think almost every football club runs at a big loss.

The big time brings big wages and with gate reciepts running at £450,000 per game that hardly covers the wages. TV is where the money is. the board realises this and thats why staying in the prem is so important

TFs no fool. He was done up like a kipper by Hughes, but he's smart. Especially business smart. Any monies spent has been the owners money; they've borrowed nothing other than from themselves. And TF and Amit's other businesses are more than profitable. Worst case scrnario is that they stop spending money.....

'We will be in administration', you're stating untrue facts because nobody knows - TF and his gang are saying that they're in for the long-haul and as far as I am concerned we're in no other position than just trusting their word. This post is just based on speculation on a personal level, and I am getting tired of the 'internet heroes' who believes they are ITK's in terms of our finances. All we know is that we made big losses last season and how that is a surprise to some people is beyond me.
