  • QPR rejected 'massive offer' for Samba from unnamed Russian club

Christopher Samba was a rock at the back for QPR in their vital win against Southampton on Saturday, but he could so easily have been back in Russia instead.

Harry Redknapp revealed the club record £12.5million signing from Anzhi was subject to a 'massive offer' from a Russian club last week.

Their transfer window is open until the end of February and QPR chairman Tony Fernandes told Redknapp a bid had been received.

    From the comments section:

QPR paid over the odds when Anzhi were selling, who were actually looking for about half that fee. Why would a club then wait another month to spend even more? Wouldn't it have made sense to have paid the approx £6m originally? Who believes a man who has a bank account for his dog?
Stuff like this really ****es me off no end, we've had it all season. Clueless dikheads of the highest order.

If I hear another "QPR are the next Portsmouth" or "What will happen if the owners get bored" comments, I swear I'm gonna go mental!

I'd sell him in an instant if the profit was substantial. We need to start improving our loss/revenue ratio for the coming lean years. Or QPR will be the next Portsmouth. Sorry, Jeems
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I think this thread title should read as:

"QPR rejected offer for "massive" Samba from unnamed Russian club"
        :pleasantsuprise::sorry:

EDIT: Referring to his larger than average height and muscular physique, of course....
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

What if QPR stay up? Samba will have played a huge role in that & with 4 points it's not unrealistic.

Sell someone & get a bit of profit or keep someone who could get you 70million minimum as he will play a key role
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
