been saying for a while he should start got laughed at because of it a couple times. think his effort has improved massively since coming back from sheff wed and from last season. TF said on twittert hes been wanting to help so you cant fault his enthusiasm
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Working harder is probably the main thing.

Probably still 3rd choice striker if Zamora is fit, as Bobby has more class than him clearly.

But in all fairness he was never a bad player, must keep him if we do get relegated. Has potential to be good for us.

As said though, service is also important.

Yesterday the strikers got that - (Mainly because Adel wasnt there which is strange to say)

Remy can finish so only needs a half chance,

      Both needs good service IMO

I think he has the tools to be a very good (maybe not top) striker in the mould of a Lambert etc

In the past its his heart and effort which I have questioned like there is a mental block preventing him fulfilling his potential. Based on last few games I cannot complain well done Jay

just shows sometimes that managers do know what they were doing. many questioned keeping him over dj but with zamora a fitness concern he is badly needed. not done a lot wrong and compliments remy well.

Last season I found him frustrating as at times he looked like he'd wandered on to the pitch completely unaware a football game was going on around him. This season he's worked hard and created problems for the opposition whenever he's been picked so fair play to him. He'll never be a top striker but he's serving a purpose well at the moment.

No one can say that he hasn't put in a shift, he has also scored a few so hat's off to him!

Respect to him - he came in, he did well, and TBH if Zamora is fit Harry has a real decision to make because Jay earned his starting place for Sunderland yesterday.

But what yesterday really showed was not that Jay was great but that actually having a big lad as an out ball is still a very effective weapon in England and marrying it with pace on the sides too caused real problems for the opposition.

I don't think there is going to be any 'one size fits all' system that is going to to work in each game but having a fit target man, having two strikers on the pitch, having Hoilett as almost a third striker, scoring twice and winning... these are all very good signs of progress.
