  • Mbia

Clueless and booked again -can't wait for the suspension.

One of our worst ever players in my book.

    Great win though today.

probably CB could be his position, what happened to that midfield at White Hart Lane that looked so assured and polished?
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Done what he was asked to do, put himself about, got in the way and broke the play up and gave it simple. Thought his booking was harsh not sure how you can knock him on todays performance

Exactly ...it takes different players to make a team

Mbia really frustrates me. He is very clumsy, and he gives the ball away too easily. Hopefully he will up his game next week

What a stupid thread. Mbia is class at breaking up play, broke down numerous attacks today both in the air and on the floor. A defensive midfielder is not meant to heard. He's job is to make sure not too many attacks come through the middle. Some people are clueless

Yes, part of a DM's job is to break up play, win the ball, and lay it off to those who can do something creative with it. They're pretty much unsung heroes of a team but a good one is worth his weight in gold. Think Makalele, Keane, Ya Ya Toure, Viera. It is no coincidence that all of them have won prem league titles.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Agreed...............thing is, some feel compelled to find fault and have an obligitary whine, no matter how trivial it may be, even on a good day for QPR like today. Its not good enough just to accept a good win..there always has to be something negative attached to it.:rage:

You can't possibly compare Mbia with that list. All of those did not just win the ball, they had the ability to drive forward with it, play an incisive pass, and rarely got booked for a silly challenge.

Did I compare them to M'bia? I just explained what IMO a DM does.

                          A liability

No urgency to go to players, loses the ball too often and terrible touch

Just jogs about and gets stuck in now and again

I would say its unfair to label Yaya as a DM but I understand your overall point.
