I like the way he reads the game. Problem is that we donīt have a midfielder who can protect him.
    Opinions?

Needs to step his game up at times, goes missing.

Hense why I personally like Mbia, always near the ball or sniffing it out etc...

      We need workers sadly.

Been thinking the same he needs a minder someone to give him cover when he's on the ball the only one I can think of that H could ask to do that sort of job would be Derry but would that leave us a man short

An enigma. It's all attitude. Was very childish when subbed. And is v lightweight. Totally lacks swagger. Think he'd be the better for a run in the team, but not sure he's up to it or for it. A shame.

Can see why Harry wanted some CM's in the window when we got Mbia/Granero/Park/Diakite/Derry to choose from..

Thought Granero was easily the worst of the midfield today. Still not adjusted to the pace of English football, weak on the ball, he gets caught in posession and can only deliver when in acres of space. And for delivering I mean chip a ball forward which is not much of an up side really. At least today, as the game passed him by, he did not slow it down like Adel often does which was a crucial part of the play - getting it forward early. But as the post above says you can see why Harry chased so many CMs in January cos there are not a lot of options there.

I agree with what you say about him being caught in possesion a lot. Have to say, it baffles me; One should believe he has had plenty of time to find out how little time one has on the ball in England...

He is a very frustrating player to me, I think he has some quality, he showed that when he first arrived and I keep waiting for him to settle into the side and become a the creative midfield general we need and it just doesn't seem to be happening! I have to agree he was pretty much invisible in the first half and I didn't like the sulk at being substituted, hopefully he gets it together soon because he could really help!

IOW, he is a bit static in his way of playing.

I like him but he gives the ball away far too often. I'd personally prefer Jenas in that role next week against Sunderland.

The one gripe I have with regard to Granero, is that he is too lightweight.
It almost looks as if all an opponent has to do, to hustle him off the ball, is blow on him. Good player, but needs to beef up somewhat.

He was useless yesterday and could have cost us the win. Also was careless when he walked out to be substituted!

Funny how we all see things differently. I always think he has people all over him when he is on the ball but comes away with it and gives it. For me I would play him over Jenas.

If he was playing week in week out how he did against Spurs away we have a top player

I'm really not sure about Granero at all.

For me he has fallen a long way short of expectations, really struggles to impose himself on a game and gets caught in possession far more than he should. There is I suppose an element of learning a new league, the pace of the Premier League is very different to La Liga.
