A big difference today

Instead of midfielders playing with head down, dribble forward, ignoring passes, and shooting from any angle today there was genuine attacking threat from the front 3 - because they got service.

The team played to a plan - the defence and midfields main role was to sweep the ball forward to Remy/Hoillet/Jay and they provided that delivery instead of wasting it and inviting pressure as so often this season.

Makes a huge difference to the team having a plan and working to it. Saints had the posession, Rangers got the goals !!

Exactly add to that players trying to get in the box, three in there when we scored the second, rather than continually coming short to try a pointless step over.

Yeah - too often this season the final third play from EVERYONE was just playground amateur stuff.
Today, as "simple" as it was (and I am sure some will sniff at it) there was real attacking threat and a coherent plan the team worked to.
Good delivery from midfield, good use of it by the front 3, hope to see the same again next game.
