No smoke without fire. And one or more players have been talking to the journalist, which proves there's a rotten spirit in a divided camp. But let's not boo them individually or collectively if they don't try or underperform, eh....?? Sums up our season. Even if they're not on the booze the fact that they train for a mere one and and half hours is the scandal. Cant they talk tactics amd formations? Why are we so sh1t????????

The mirror has always been reasonably kind to QPR over the years (least as far as I remember) - If this was the Sun Id dismiss it but think there is definitely something to this. Still think the timing of it is suspicious though.

Absurd. Football is nothing like it used to be and the culture is 100% different too. Maybe the lower leagues get away with it, but do you think Man Utd do this? No. We need to win games, so regardless of the story - drinking is not what top athletes do when they need optimum performance.

Living in another hotel, taking his wife with him and not using the time to try and make the team bond.....if that`s true it´s enough. Harry is not the righ man for us.

I'm a big Harry Redknapp fan & think he will do wonders for us if he stays but I can't lie that's very concerning.

It's a team trip to get us out of the sh!t not a family break.

This is QPR for you. Pathetic if true.

The red tops do twist stories, but most of the time they do have something to them. I know two journos. They also hold stories for maximum impact. I don't know if this is true, but I imagine they didn't work particularly hard and am just amazed by the whole trip....as for Harry in a different hotel...why?

If we don't win this match this trip will have been a massive and expensive balls up. Harry is a man manager not a tactical coach in the modern style. He thinks a drink is ok and if he thought this was a team bonding exercise then that was a high risk way to do it.

Lets see what happens today. If we play badly then this trip will turn out to have been a slap in the face for fans. I hope I am wrong.
Dubai is not the same as London. There are only certain places you can drink (mostly at the hotel you are staying at).

Whether there's substance to much of this or not, the trip was a farce anyway. They need to train harder not less whne in our situation, so why go to a climate where it's too hot to properly train.... genius.

What is 90mins a day going to achieve? They should've been somewhere they could do 90 min intensive training and then spend more time in the afternoon working on set pieces etc (which we've been shocking at), be it attacking / defending corners, FK's , shooting practice whatever.

AS for Harry being allowed to take his wife on QPR's expenses if beyind a joke, and obvioulsly the reason they had different hotel.... farcical. You might as well tell kids at school to behave and then send the teacher to another school and leave them to it.

It also concerns me that there are many quotes in thjis, and certain players are obviously going to the media for their own agenda.... no doubt lucrative, and have they exagerated the truth to sensationalise the story, possibly. If articlke written factually though, it would also lead to being one of the old guard who still play because refers to annoyance at players here just for the money.... so rules out any of the new signings, and speculatory guess would suggest Mackie, Hill or Derry.

Dubai has hundreds of clubs you can drink in.

"The club is aware of the article in today's Daily Mirror but the club's entire focus is on today's fixture against Southampton. We will be making no further comment at this time"

that count as a non-statement? not denying it anyway
If it is not true the Club is possibly seeking legal advice and they would not comment at this stage.

With all their money and five days out in Dubai with time to kill, it's not rocket science. I would like to take a positive from this, the boozing may have been some well needed bonding among the players. Although I don't agree with boozing, I still want to see a positive.
The negative is what a farkin liberty players are taking, it's a big V- sign at the fans who pay your wages. And how come Harry isn'y keeping control, maybe he don't give a fark either. Fernandes is being mugged off :****edoff: That of course is IF this all true.

Absolutely a positive!,especially if there´s no communication between them lot, when they are sober Irony.

But this isn't London mate, it's Dubai and it is a very small community. Any time any celebrity is in town we hear about it, when Rooney was out here a handful of my mates saw him having a drink in Armani club. When the Blackburn lads were out we saw them on the **** in Barasti. When John Terry was out here after he got caught with Wayne Bridges mrs I saw him at the Royal Meridien on the same day as the Sun were snapping him.

Trust me, we have a decent sized supporters club out here and if the players were out on the smash someone would have spotted them and it would have got back to us!

We have no idea what goes on at other clubs..and at man utd didnt a certain mr Ferdinand "forget" about a drugs test a few years back. This story is doing exactly what it intended to do Muck racking. So many have jumped to conclusions on here..about the players..about harrys management style. If you had one night 8 days ago where you went on the lash would you still be feeling the effects now? no and if you are like me a less than fit individual then our recovery times is alot slower than anyone in their peak of physical fitness.

what is the unprofessional part is the Alleged Players who spoke to the press.and the way the article is set up it wants you to assume its the English championship players who have gone to the press and it is the overpaid "mercenaries" that are the troublemakers.

I agree, but I don't think the comments on this board are really about the story. It is about the way the players have performed all season. If the players had been playing well and we were not in the predicament we are, then there would have been no interest. A few soccer players go out drinking, so what. I would be interested to know from Tarbie if any of the people in the Dubai "R"s actually saw something. I appreciate their opinions more than the opinions of some newspaper report.
