Still all means nothing if your not very good.
It's not so much that he's poor and plays, he cant help being picked, what annoys me is that he plays as if he's Messi and always tries to beat players even when he has no skill and there are good options. Saturday in the first half we had a couple of breaks and with one he had easy options left and right 3 on 3 i think, but instead tried to beat his nearest defender when uneccessary and lost the ball as per usual..... he is sh1te, end of.

Dont forget that the 2nd goal was an error from Traore, who won the ball but delayed kicking it away and lost it again. The 3rd goal was a ludicrous own goal from Ferdinand.
It also didnt help that Granero was played out on the right wing for that game.

so who plays?
mackie has to...
harry will set up not to lose, not win.
Zamora can play at least a half, as can Remy (although i'd hope he's getting to the stage he can play full games now). Also Bothroyd is sitting there mostly unused, even though he was immense in the cup at west brom, so why isnt he playing up front when needed instead of the likes of Mackie and Taarabt who are not strikers, and especially not lone strikers....it't illogical management.
Other options off a front man would include Taarabt in a typical no 10 role in the hole, or Hoilett (who linked very well with Zamora earlier in the season, even SWP buzzing about would be far far better options than Mackie.

Mackie from the bench for me. He has made good impacts as sub in past. I think we need to chgange the midfield up. Diakite anyone? Just tell him to not hold back and get stuck in. There's a good player in there somewhere....we saw it last season
