Was watching wigan's one-two's round the box, and other team's gameplay on MOTD. I don't believe it's as quick as some would like to think. Especially ours with a high turnover of players.

How long does it take for a team to gel and understand each other's game?

This current team will never gel as it is made up of misfits, underachievers, inconsistent performances, cannot pass, cannot hold the ball up, poor defensively, cannot score or create many chances. I can go on and on. The team has just been thrown together without any thought and that is why we are where we are in my opinion. Disparate signings.

I think it's nothing to do with not gelling. It shouldnt take anywhere near 27 games to work on one-twos, covering for each other, set pieces etc.
The squad is divided between those who won promotion, those who earnt survival last season and those who came in this season on big wages.
The club does not appear to have a wage structure and perhaps this has caused the players to not really gel or work for each other.

Have to agree with all of you.
Just goes to show what a succession of shambolic players, managers and coaching staff we have had the misfortune to suffer during the last couple of years.
They all talk a good game though. Fully expect to see some inane repetitive drivel being spouted in the next few days just prior to the capitulation along the coast.
