its up to the individual really, personally i dont do it but i suppose if the team had given them any incling that things on the pitch might change they wouldnt have left (it was bitterly cold to boot). Just makes me laugh though, think of all of people that left when we were 2 nil down to loserpool last season or the citeh fans that left in their droves on the last day of the season.

choices innit....the team have been poor, whatever our support
too many have shirked responsibility and owe us, but do they give a to55? no, the wages get shovelled into accounts, their agent gets his fee and all's well, isn't it?
cisse sunning it up in qatar, paid for by us...
we pay a huge chunk for joey to munch croissants etc
but blame the fans! there will be no poty do, some excuse given but the club will want to protect the special ones from reality, sorry stick. few would escape....hill, derry, nelsen, cesar, townsend and maybe mackie give their all

Clubs at the bottom need support, where has our loyalty gone, these arent just new fans, these are people who have been here a few years

it saddens me it really does, no atmosphere yesterday and another set of poxy songs, booing Bosingwa etc ok, its been a shocking season but you aint helping the side at all

I assume these guys like to get away and get home a tad early for ????
I'll leave exactly when I want, thank you very much.

I totally agree. What's the point of staying to the end to cheer on team that has given up the fight and rarely threatens to score a goal? When QPR get the ball out wide, how many options are there in the box waiting for a cross or pass 1 possibly 2? No wonder they have only scored 19 goals in 27 games. There is no attacking threat whatsoever. so what is there for fans to watch?

Here is an example of how other struggling sides at least make an effort to score. I was watching Villa at Arsenal on Football First and in one Villa attack the player out wide 30 yards from goal crossed the ball into the box and there were 3 Villa players to aim for in the box and he also had a player further advanced to his right making an everlapping run.

Look at how Southampton & Reading attack teams without fear of conceding goals at the other end.
QPR have 11 games left and need to win at least 6 of them. They wont be doing so by playing in such a negative manner.
It's all very well Redknapp saying that Zamora and Remy both being fit on the pitch together is key, but with the former's injury record that is not really a likely option.

Campbell should have been kept and Bothroyd should also be selected and played when Zamora can't.

Also, Taarabt needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he needs to be more procactive in getting into scoring positions (did anyone else see what Shearer thought about his performamce on MotD).

Taarabt has the ability to play 1-2s and get shots at goal, yet he rarely seems to do do. He also needs to make runs into the box like he did in the Championship. If he isnt going to play a more attacking way, then he should make room for someone who will.

Maybe when the players show some passion and fight, the fans will reciprocate.

At the end of the day as far as i'm concerned, any paying, devoted QPR fan can do what they want when they want when it comes to leaving a match. Who are we to judge anyone in such a situation.

We all love our club, and will do through the good times and bad, although it tends to be more bad in recent times. I used to have season tickets for me and the wife a few years back but had to give them up when our kids were born, and now the misses also works Saturdays, i very rarely manage to get to any games, but i wouldn't stand for anyone suggesting they're more of a fan than I am becasue they get to more games than me.

Likewise others aren't any less a fan because they choose to leave earlier than others. If they are so dissillusioned to the point they can't stomach watching any more, i can fully understand that.

Also as for the utd game, although it would be great if everyone stayed until the end, they aren't your average opposition, especially this season, and when you go 1 or especially 2-0 down to them, it's pretty much a guarantee you're leaving empty handed, so not surprised some left because it was game over.

funny thing is that the optimist in me thought that we might pull it back to one all when remy took his shot and samba went in for his header from a corner, but youre right that same spirit we had in the run in last season just doesnt seem to there

If you know what you are going to get in terms of players showing no fight passion and the "why should I stay to the end if they dont show commitment etc" comments blah blah, why go at all then and end up whinging and then leave early......complete waste of time and indeed travel expenses. Just stay at home. Its very easy....it's not compulsory to go....or is it?? Even if you have a paid for ST, at least there's no other expenses incurred if you stay away.

It's true that it is not compulsory to attend games, but those that have purchased tickets in advance probably feel they should at least do so in the hope that the QPR players make the effort to win games.

As someone else has already said, leaving early is one way of showing your displeasure at the 'effort' submitted by the players on the pitch.

If anyone can be bothered to look research and post on here what the shots on and off target have been for QPR in home league games in 2013, it would make quite depressing reading and will show why some fans get fed up and leave early.

Just because people leave early do not make them real fans. Some of these people come a long way and not only that it has been a long and horrible season by a group of underachieving misfit of players. What do some people expect? It was cold and we were down 2 nil. We're we going to make a come back???

They have to try shooting and getting players into the penalty area to attempt a comeback and tehy have rarely doen this in 2013.

Bowles - have you never, ever left early?

I have. Never if I think we have a remote chance or will make a fight. If not - nothing wrong with it. I also think fans can leave when the hell they feel like it. Do you really think staying to the end would inspire our team to suddenly change the habbit of a season and actually play some football?
