  • Tale of two Clubs

Both promoted together one side comfortably better then the other and won the league at a canter

Since then Swansea have made massive strides and not only will they stay up for a second season comfortably they are probably going to lift the league cup today

It makes me feel  just thinking ab out it. We have sailed in different directions

They rebuilt their 1st team in 2 seasons. We tried to redo ours in one transfer window.

None of our squad would even get in their first eleven today imo...shocking.

It was an easier transition for Swansea to make. In the Championship they already had a compact short passing style of play, so when they got into the prem it was ajust a case of fine tuning with a few new players.

We still have that typical championship style of play, a stretched team trying to score on the break most of the time, and we haven't been able to make the change as well as they have. I've always said that we play far too deep and if we could compress the space between attackers and defenders then players can support each other better. It's the main reason why Granero and SWP have failed, which is lack of options when in possession, and why Routledge has blossomed coz they support each other better as a team as they are more compact.

In 5 years, we'll be an established BPL side and they'll be somewhere in the lower divisions. Assuming TF stays.

We ain't done too bad either.

But I've no idea why you're struggling, you have the set up, cash, good fans etc etc.

Sometimes it just comes down to luck........or lack of it I guess.

Couldn't happen to a worse set of bigoted, chavvy, arrogant, muppet group of supporters.
                  Cardiff excepted.
When they eventually fall, and they will, might take time, but they will fall, I will break the habit of a lifetime and go on 'planet Swines' and rub their pig-ignorant noses in it, and will heartily enjoy it.

He knows how patronising he sounds, and he knows there are a few of us who can see right through him, and he knows there are some mods on here, who would sooner talk to me as though I were a naughty child, than restrict him and his patronising drivel to the 'away fans' section, or whatever it's called.
