Buzsaky regrets turning down contract offers

Akos Buzsaky has expressed his regret at turning down contract offers from Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City last year.

The Hungarian midfielder became a free agent last month after ending a short-term spell at Championship side Barnsley. He left QPR at the end of last season after failing to sign a new contract, and earlier this season played for Portsmouth in League One.

"Last summer QPR offered me a one-year extension but I wanted regular first-team football so I rejected this contract by the club,"

"Subsequently, I realise that I should have penned that deal but as always I stand by that decision.

"It was another wrong decision to say no to Bristol City, who offered me a two-year contract with good conditions, but I didn't want to fight against relegation."

Buzsaky has now been diagnosed with a knee injury, and will work on his fitness in order to hope to gain a club next season.

No way. Always injured and then takes weeks to get in shape and then loses form and is injured again. Was fantastic in his time.

Go for Ben Watson and MCcormack I.e. instead.If we can keep Townsend, we will have a decent midfield at the club.
