Ah that's my point. AJ played only three games.... That's why I nominated him most creative player whilst placing my tongue in my cheek..... BTW has Adel no responsibility for our ineptitude? Has he not been an integral part of a team which hasn't scored at home in TWO MONTHS?? That's scored FIVE goals in FOURTEEN home games winning ONE... And when every 'attack' invariably goes through him? Some creative talent. And I'm not an Adel 'hater'. I'm simply a realist without stars in my eyes. I wish he were a world beater in a classy team, but he ain't. And unless you're referring to AJ being injury prone you're talking nonsense about him being the worst buy we've made. Who knows what he would have done had he not been crocked. He did very well knocking a hat trick past us last season.....

AJ has a great footballing brain, one of the few english players in the top flight that actually possess one.

A very smart player its just the injuries that have ruined him.

AJ's a great player, knows where the net is. I really thought he'd be banging in the goals for us this season (and not against us for a change!). But his injuries always seem to come back to haunt him.

AJ has scored in 13 goals in the past 5 years as a striker which is a terrible record

Maybe good several years ago but never going to be back to that form and never should have got him as injury prone aswell

The thing is, how much of those 5 years has he spent injured?

My guess would be 60-70% of the that time.

Yep mate. Lend me your rose tinted glasses. Are you aware we've scored five goals in fourteen home games?? None in two months?? Won one? Lost to MKD? Keep knocking yourself out.

Why would we buy a player who spends the majority of the season not playing?

Like I posted one of the worst buys for many reasons like the one you stated

That was down to Hughes, crazy signing because of his injury record imo.

But I still mean what I posted before.

Those 3 goals were the only goals he scored all last season, very poor stats for a striker

Taarabts natural role is not a striker so not like you should expect him to get most goals in the team but that responsibility falls on the strikers role

Cant blame him for not scoring the most when in lots of games has created chances for others and can see he has improved overall but others aint around him

So Adel is absolved of any responsibility for our ineptitude?? We're a poor team only and solely in spite of him?? I doubt you think we're a poor team. I think you'll think we can win seven games when there's only six left...... I agree with you about buying AJ though.

Today he was poor like most of the team but seen an improvement overall this season and if you took him out the team like others have done in the past we look even worse if you think back when NW and MH done it

We was all over joyed when he came back as he is the backbone of the team whether you like it or not

Damn. It seems fever gotten worse after watching the game. :(
Came back home and feel so empty and depressed...
I would really love to see sth positive regardless of if we stay or not.

I'll be overjoyed if he scores the winner next Saturday...... But I fear Adel's part of our problem, not necessarily a solution. I overheard a Man U fan saying on the tube that we were the 'worst team he'd seen all season'. Can't disagree with that. You and I have been knocking heads too much, Dale. Enjoy your night.
