    Swansea
“I thought we were the better team after that and controlled the game but when you concede another two goals it makes it difficult.”

He must have thought we were mustard after the first time we played them this season.

If he thinks that we were the better team, then I suppose it explains him thinking he is a footballer.

He'll be playing Championship football next season as with a lot of players who many assume will move on

Oh surely not. We could do without a sequel.

Sounds like he has a screw loose. Or maybe he just don't want to admit the truth so prefers to live in a fantasy world.
I bet that happens with a lot of players and their agents - especially the average ones who fancy themselves as stars like Granero.

Tell you what Granero - have a look at what Sissoko has done in 3 games at Newcastle - that is what a proper footballer does.

Not quite sure why everyone's slagging him off. He came on and our performance improved no end as he actually retains posession and plays the ball to a team mate. Together he and Mbia made us tick second half, and for spells we were the better team, as he said, hence 2nd half we had about 12 shots compared to 0 in the first half..... For me he was one of the only positives.

I wasn't at Swansea but by all accounts we were far better when he and Zamora came on, so he may have a point although I also understand why people get sick of the same old interview quotes about being positive. We need points, end of!

Agree with you mate- our improvement in the second half was due to the fact that we had a focul point in attack in Zamora and someone in midfield who was using a bit of intelligence when on the ball- Granero.

He hasn't been amazing, but then other than 3 or 4, who has been any good this season??

This. Some will never be happy with him, I think as he came from Real with huge expectation, some expect him to be a world beater for us when, in reality, with the $hit we have in our side, it'll be hard for anybody to look too great.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

isnt that the sort of thing that should be said like 5-6 games in...not when we have only got a few games left to prove we are worthy of staying up? 'Gelling' period is over, now its just 'failing' period.

What are you talking about.... i'm referring to the fact he actually played well at the weekend, unlike most, and yet he's being slaughtered. He should be the focal point of our team for the run in if the manager has any sense, which i'm not sure, so fans should get behind him.

I dont see many slate Derry for his performances... reason, they love him for what he's done for the club, granted, i do for that fact also, however, he simply cant cut it in the prem. Before people say"he's played well of late", yes he has played ok but that only because he's playing in a midfield 3 and he doesn't have to cover much ground and his only remit is to sit infront of the CB's and be a barrier. Add to that, when he got the ball the other day, all he did was aimlessly hoof it and gift posession back again.... pointless. Fact is, he couldn't play in a midfield central 2, and that is what we need to make a progressive attacking formation which surely we need going forward..... Granero and Mbia / Diakite when fit for me.
