We appear to have a history of turning good players into average ones. Take a look

Matty Rose from Arsenal wasn't the best but still, I think, clocked up over 200 games for us under many different managers and was one of our longest servers at the time? Oh, and then he killed Saskia with an ashtray and that was the end of his career.
My bad, it was the guy from Spandau Ballet who try to frame him for it.

Yes another one who was prolific, but then signed for us via Japan and never hit the heights. Did score two goals including a 90th minute winner in the 2003-04 season that arguably got us promoted, but scored all the rest of his QPR goals vs Coventry, or so it seemed.

well
well
my list is not quite the same as yours but reads
........rodney marsh..........15 000........200 000 profit 185 000 plus england cap and over 100 goals
........phil parkes..............15 000........565 000 profit 500 000 one england cap and world record for a keeper
........roger morgan............o..............110 000 profit 110 000
.......clive allen.................0...............1,300 000 profit
.......paul goddard.............0..................800 000 profit
.......paul parker.............300 000 .........3 000 000......2 700 000profit
.......andy sinton.............300 000..........2 750 000 .....2 450 000profit
.......les ferdinand............10 000............6 000 000.....5,900 000 profit
these are some of the transfer dealings that we have taken part in and it shows we do often buy good players or more specifically turn players into better players

lets be honest so called established top players generally dont give a sh*t about QPR and to be honest from there non supporting point of view they rightly see us as a mickey mouse outfit apart from the wages.

Living off far and distant memories Eh ;-("Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."
