Exactly we have tried loads of players, many of which have been a success at other premier clubs so who or what is the common denominator?

Tarrabt and the way we play to accommodate him.

It's about time Hill was dropped for either Haim or Mbia, Derry dropped for Granero and Mackie dropped from a cliff!!...

      GK Cesar or Green
      LB Suk-Young
      CB Mbia
      CB Samba
      RB Fabio
      LW Taraabt or Hoilett
      CM Jenas
      CM Granero
      RW Wright-Phillips
      F Zamora or Taraabt
      F Remy

It's all a load of bollards anyway coz we are going down so need to stop playing boring football and try to attack the f..k out of teams...we either get hammered 6 - 0 every game or we may just win...scary thought!!

See this is typical QPR . The op is suggesting playing totally different to the last few years because for the last 2 we haven't been very successful. I can see what he's saying, we do accommodate Adel so how about just trying something like i don't know playing more direct and pushing the oppo back rather than trying to play our way through midfield. A team is made up of different abilities and players playing different roles.
Just because AT can do tricks doesn't mean he'd be good in goal

In fairness if I was Adel and had the ball 30 yards out or so and I looked up and saw my options were to pass to Jamie Mackie or to try take on a defender and shoot - I'd go for the latter everytime

Granero's natural position looks to be #10 which is currently Adel's post.

Not convinced Granero would deliver any more than Adel but might be worth giving it a try anyway and giving Adel a week off to recharge his batteries.

When remy played he was and what happened taarabt could play the through to him. But was is the point of him passing it out wide for the winger to cross it in when NOBODY is ever in the box Bon.
                          This. Good point.

Adel sometimes clings onto the ball for what seems like too long as our movement is terrible, and we as a team we don't have practiced attacking routines that we can fall back on.

Watch when the equivalent players for Swansea (Michu, or De Guzman) or WBA (Morrison, sometimes Brunt or Gera) are on the ball. Players are running all around them, creating space, moving into space, giving the guy on the ball some options.

When Taarabt gets it in a similar position, he has SWP stood alongside him on the right, making the closest defender, Mbia and Derry stood still behind him, and Jamie Makie running in a straight line towards the goal regardless of where the defenders are and where the space is. What's he supposed to do? In those circumstances I would rather Adel held onto the ball, something he is excellent at, and looked for a better opportunity.

I get the sense many people here would be happy if Adel just played a percentage chip into the channels every time. The Ian Holloway c2005 approach to football. Granero similarly gets grief for always looking for a good pass rather than a percentage ball that gets rid.

Why would he need to recharge? We have a week off anyway. And he's been in excellent form recently.

                              Re the OP generally:

If we play a classic 442 with two wingers and two strikers, surely Adel walzes into the team on the left wing?

He is a million miles better than any other left winger we have. And no, he isn't a defensive liability these days. He was played on the left through much of the autumn and tracked back very well. I even remember the Spurs game at LR towards the end of last season when Adel was effectively pushed into left-back by Kyle Walker playing so far up and Lennon tucking in to draw in the left-back (probably Taiwo but I dont remember).

Give me Taarabt at left-wing over SWP. Hoilett may have a case, but he's hardly played this year and hasn't been anything to write home about when he has played.
