By the time they'd sorted out the ball pressure issues we were two goals down. Not just one under-inflated ball, but two!?!? We ended up using the first ball again after the second one was also found to be too light. Michu's initial shot for his first was definitely moving unnaturally as a result. Could it have been enough to put Cesar off causing him to parry it straight back to Michu to score?
The second goal was Mackie's fault for not tracking the runner on his blind side. Many were incorrectly blaming Traore for it but he was already marking another player and it was Mackie's responsibility to track back.
If their was any doubt over Cesar's culpability for the first, there was none for third. Yes Hernandez meant it as a cross but Cesar definitely shouldn't have let it go across him.
Then at 3-1 down we had a blatant penalty when Williams clearly handled in the area. At 3-2 it would've been game back on...
And finally there really are no personal excuses for Onuoha now which he had earlier in the season. Yes he has pace and and strength, but his technical ability on the ball is totally non-existent; to the extent that he completely lacks any confidence to either run with the ball or to ever use his left foot. A major weakness for a RB. Opposition clearly know this and target him for it. Worst player on the pitch for me yesterday.
An off day for Cesar but once again Mackie, Onuoha, Derry, Mbia and Hill's inferior technical ability was embarrassingly exposed and exploited yesterday. That for me was the key difference between the sides.
