Would it be ok to throw a syringe at Drogba, or a red ribbon perhaps?

Just banter about him having aids, right?

If not, why not? I don't see why we would have a problem with that, if we've decided that 'black people = monkeys = like bananas' is off limits, but 'african = has aids' is acceptable.

? dunno what you getting at about bananas but as far as i am concerned and it might sound harsh but i dont care if a Chelsea player does a Muamba and drops dead. Nothing to me or my own. If Drogba while playing for Chelsea gets aids then ill laugh about it. Ill tell jokes about it. Ill listen to jokes about it. Day after Princess Di was killed there were jokes about it..day after 9/11 or 7/7 there were jokes about it. Its stuff that happens to someone else so who cares. maybe its the way that we deal with it i dunno but i have no problem singing an aids/anti semetic song at a football match and nor do thousands others.Throw a syringe at Drogba?? wouldnt do it myself but i would laugh..red ribbon? yer ok.

So your argument is that anything is fair game.

Why then is it 'just not on' to throw bananas at black players?

And I hope you didn't ahve a problem with John Terry's comment to Anton either!

...and if your argument is that you did have a problem as it was a Chelsea player abusing one of ours, what if the sides had been reversed? If a QPR player had called a Chelsea player an effing black c.

like i said no problem if one of ours said anything to an opposing player whether about his colour/race/hair colour/weight/sexual preference etc ...... if we can wind up the opposition then alls good. And whats said on the pitch should stay on the pitch and no whining if it makes you cry. And thats my point about fans..if we can unsettle an opposing player and effect his football then we are doing our job. No holds barred if up to me.

Well at least your view has a certain logic and consistency.

But then I don't get why you would say that banana throwing is 'just not on'. Seems like you are saying that anything is fair game. I know throwing a banana at Ashley Young in our next game would be a good way of unsettling him.
