Chelsea Carling Cup Tickets
Sorry to have to start another thread about the Chelsea match but a few things about tickets.
1. Chelsea dont have to give us the full allocation and after what happened at Upton Park this week I bet they dont.
2. ST holders may get priority over tickets - 6600 is what the shed holds methinks
3. Loyalty points for away travel could come into effect and maybe your grade
of ticket - for example last season a Platinum season ticket holder automatically got 70 loyalty points so it may be the same again.
So to summarise a if your not an ST Holder with reduced allocation and loyalty points coming into play you may struggle to see the game (at least in the away end anyway).Last edited by W12_Ranger; 29-08-2009, 03:53 PM.

they will have a waiting list for people incase season ticket people drop out, so if you arnt a season ticket holder, it may be worth ringing anyway and asking to be put on the list.....
although im sorry to say for anyone who isnt a season ticket holder, its unlikely u will get a ticket unless u wanna sit in the chelsea end.Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Bit of ITK info here on competition rules and guidelines on ticket allocation.
The MAXIMUM ticket allocation any competing club can request is 15% of ground capacity. Chelsea can only refuse to provide this in "exceptional circumstances" (outlined below)
Whether you actually receive that amount is then dependant on a number of other factors.
Advice from the Safety Advisory Group. This group is comprised of the Safety Officers of the host club, the Metropolitan Police and the local licensing authority.
Much depends on previous history between the two clubs, any problems with segregation and any intelligence received by the police.
It is often the case that the visiting club do not want the full allocation as they don't believe they would be able to sell the full number. From a financial perspective it is often better to hand back some tickets to the host club who will be able to sell out, therefore benefitting both clubs by a bigger total gate.
Given that Chelsea have regularly and frequently, provided the full 6,200 allocation required to visiting clubs in League and FA Cup ties, I would be surprised if we did not receive the same. There were no significant public disorder problems last time (despite some bigging it up elsewhere!) and whilst the Police may insist on full cost recovery at their most significant security risk (C) - I'd doubt Chelsea or the SAG would restrict ticket numbers unless QPR wanted them to.
Hope that helps.
edit......sorry forgot to include ticket prices....
Prices have to be mutually agreed by both clubs. Chelsea have a stated policy on their Carling Cup ticket prices. It's on their website somewhere but won't dirty this site by posting a link.
In the event of a disagreement, FL adjudicate. (Home club usually win)Last edited by Guest; 29-08-2009, 06:13 PM.
