Being "good at passing to people who then shoot" sounds pretty much like what a guy in his position is supposed to do. If we had some strikers and wingers who were "good at shooting when passed to" then we'd be in midtable.
You can't infer anything about chance quality from those stats, you're just reflecting your prejudices again. If anything, most of Adel's chances created will be easier as teams tend to push up against us and lots of our chances come on the break. You'll also be surprised to learn Adel is behind only Santi Cazorla in terms of through-balls completed this season.
'Team goals' is a terrible way to assess whether Adel is creating chances. A far better way would be some kind of 'chances created' stat. Fortunately we have this. All Adel can do is set up Mackie, SWP, Cisse and co. Not down to him whether they score or miss.
