  • We've a rock solid defence, but a woeful, non existent attack........

We've scored 18 PL goals all season...... The same number as Van Persie. Wigan have scored 29; Reading 32 and Soton 33. Can anyone see, now Remy's crocked, where match winning goals are coming from?? Even if Remy's not crocked? We've only conceded 6 more goals than Man U.... And only twelve teams have conceded fewer goals than us all season. We're great at the back; rubbish up front. That's why we're likely to go down. Anyone else want Mackie up front by himself next week with Mbia and SWP in the team as well as Derry???? Think we should have spent the Samba money on strikers and creative midfielders? Glad to have Samba, but still....

Nail on head 77. Im hoping the way Harry solved our defensive problems he can also pull a rabbit out the hat and sort us out up top

We are, where we are, squad wise.
We will just have to keep our fingers crossed, and hope our defence remains watertight, and we squander as few chances as possible, between now and the end of the season.

As someone posted on another thread, if SWP had taken his chances vs Spurs, and Adel vs Citeh and Norwich we'd have won these 3 games, we are creating good chances but because team confidence is down, we've not taken them.

Our unbeaten run, and the second half performance yesterday, should give us the confidence to take those chances and as an attacking force we will get better
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

It definitly showed us the way forward. Townsend and Jenas(partly) looked very creative. If that continues, Zamora,Taarabt will get goals. Remy aswell.

            Good OP that 77.

We are toothless up front. If we are relying on Mackie up top on his own then we may aswell kiss goodbye to the Premier League now. We need Remy fit and firing ASAP.

Agreed. We're sorted now at the back, and I think our attack is good enough to score goals to keep us up, but they do need to improve their finishing.

Not really. That's three chances in three games and two of those were probably half chances. Without a clinical finisher you need to create half a dozen similar half chances just to score one goal.

All we have to do is keep clean sheets until the end of the season and score one goal every game and we will be top half; see how easy it is to be positive!

Or clean sheets with one goal seven times!!! We won five last year in the run in..... And we're a harder team to beat than last year.

got nothing to do with toothless attack or great defence. It's the way we're set up. We sit and let opposition have ball. Aim is to then nick it like at chelsea.

If our defence was rock solid, how come our goalie is player of the century right now. He is making them look good.

Defence includes the goalie. It's the back five...
