  • Park the Irrevocable decline

It may be overly harsh to say that Park’s legend was merely a product of the world class players that surrounded him. A more glaring admission would be that his ability is beginning to wane.

Just age i reckon. His legs were his only decent attribute at United but they seem to have gone now. Shame because we could have really done with the Park of old instead of the one we ended up with.

He was injured. He is a slow starter. He did play well in the first few matches imo. He has been moved around alot in terms of position after that, which doesn't help him at all.
I for one do not think Park needs to explain anything. I think he will try to show what he can do on the pitch, when and if he gets a chance.

Far from. Every manager have different tactics. HR did not bring Park here. We can only speculate but there could be many possibilities. Maybe Parks knee is acting up, we will find out eventually.

So if Hughes was here and not Harry then Park would be getting a game??? i actually agree with you on that.

Not necessarily. If Hughes got more time he probably had to change something drastically since the team didn't perform. Park was injured so Hughes couldn't could not include him in his plans.

At the moment it seems to me HR is trying to ease all his new players in and maybe in a few games Park will get a start if the new guys don't perform.
Jenas has not yet been productive but he also need games. I think HR needs to stick to the team he believes will save us, just like Hughes did. Changing back and forth might unsettle the team even more.

so you disagree with the linked article in the Korea Times?
"Park’s decline has been painful to watch as the former Korea captain has always been defined by his non-stop running and industriousness, traits that earned him the nickname ``three-lung Park.’’ The QPR version is a timid and diminished player who seems confused about his role and out of ideas on how to influence a match."

think that is pretty much spot on and a perfect description of the Park that plays for QPR. What they didnt mention in the article is the facts that he pulls out of tackles, cant seem to stay on his feet much and his passing is atrocious. The legs and energy that was used to great effect (he was always short on technique) at Manchester united have left him. And what remains is the sorry excuse for a professional footballer we have sitting on our bench unable to get a game even with the likes of Mbia and Derry picked ahead of him.

My personal opinion or "hope", lets say, is that he is not in a decline and it's just his lack of adaption skill and/or knee injury that is slowing his progress, like always. London is a big city and for a foreigner it could get a bit lonely.

I think we will find out next season whether or not Park is declining as a footballer or if he is declining but still can contribute to the team.
DMC is not one of Parks best positions. He never played there before in the premiership. So I don't think it's a valid comparison. If HR decides to play without one or two DMC then our backline needs to improve a lot.

At least,he has to explain why he is not able to stand on his feet on the pitch.
