  • Townsend and Jenas

seen jenas play a fair deal over the years, although I think he has struggled with injury and has only played a handful of games in the last 3 years or so. I know it was only a short performance but I think he slotted in nicely and looked confident, what will probably help is that he will already have an understanding of sorts with Townsend. He also did a lot better than our usual midfield cameo substitution and managed to stay on his feet!!

Townsend looked as though he found his feet in seconds and was unlucky not to score with what I think is one of his signature moves, I think he could become instrumental in our performances until the end of the season (would love for him to stay for a season if we went down). He has great movement on and off the ball and puts himself about.

Some might argue that loan signings dont care about the team etc.. but on the upside they also havent been affected by any of the shoite that has gone on prior and therefore will find it easier to go about their business minus any negative thoughts or pressure etc..

Andros kind of showed up the bloke on the other wing in the first half.

        £3k a week v £50k per week?

Thought both looked composed, Townsend was I thought a real threat and its good to not have to rely on adel for an attack, this could work well, I just hope it's not too late.......lets try and shove it up every other club, media, journalist that wants us to fail and do the impossible...

And if samba was only 40percent then I look forward to him being fully fit!

I totally agree. Jenas looked so comfortable in possession, where as Mbia panics and gets out-muscled way too easily. I hope Jenas starts ahead of Mbia when we face Swansea. I think Granero and Jenas could link up well in the centre. As for Towsend, he was superb! He also looked comfortable on the ball and deserved to be named man of the match

jenas did look comfortable but seemed to be playing virtually as a sweeper. don't understand the negative tactics against norwich.

I agree but it could leave us very vulnerable at the back with out a holding midfielder. True too about Mbia getting out muscled and giving away possession but i think he does well breaking things up. Its when he ventures forward he looks clueless.

We are doing a great job developing players for Spurs. Just look at Kyle Walker now, and I could see Townsend in their team next season.

Should we change our name to "Tottenham Hotspur Reserves"?

I was sceptical about signing Jenas but he looked confident, composed and was barking orders to those around him - good debut, good solid signing.

Townsend - quality. Should be a starter in all games after that display. Tracks back, takes players on and good accurate shooting.
