Everyone knew it was ridiculous and so it proved.
If Campbell or Bothroyd had played there it would have been the same result. Zamora is knackered and isn't exactly a 'top goal scorer' anyway, so you have to work with what you've got.

I'm totally positive about our situation. I seriously think we will get out of this. But i can understand how and why people are feeling negative.

I do think Harry got the tactics wrong in the first half but as soon as Zamora came on we looked a different team. We will be a totally stronger team going forward with much more of a threat when Zamora and Remy (when fit) get to play together im sure. We havent scored that many goals so far because for most of the season we havent had a proper striker. Zamoras been out injured and Cisse just let himself and all our fans down with his performances. But in my eyes we have to play 2 up top and that being Zamora and Remy. We have to go for it now but this can be done.

Ive been banging on about Townsend for ages now and wanting us to sign him and so now we have him and our other new signings im sure this can be turned around. Jenas looked much more comfortable on the ball than Mbia whereas Mbia gives it away too much but i'd still keep him in the team and reluctantly drop Derry. I say reluctantly cos since Derry has been in the team our defence has tightened up no end.

So for me our team would be this with Adel and Townsend swapping sides during the game. That to me is a strong team that should be able to score goals by dropping a defensive midfielder for a second striker. True we will be more exposed at the back but we need to score goals and win games and 2 defensive midfielders is not the answer from here on in. Maybe only against Man Ure but against most other teams we need to go for it.

      -------------Cesar---------------

      Fabio---Samba---Hill---Traore/Yun

      -------------Mbia----------------

      Townsend-----Jenas------Taarabt

      ------Remy--------Zamora-------

I've had enough of Mbia. He's hopeless. He panics on the ball and gets outmuscled way too easily. Our midfield looked so much better once Jenas replaced Mbia

Yes we have gotten good draws but we should have risen our game to win comfortably yesterday. We did not which tells me we are still on a decent run of form but not the fantastic form we need to survive. That is just a fact. HR has said it all along back to back wins can change everything, but they have not come yet now have they?
Your missing the point. So what if the right result at the bridge should have been a draw we took our chance and left with three because we kept a clean sheet. If we take our chances and keep clean sheets we win and take three points its not rocket science. Since Chelsea we have had three clean sheets against Spurs were we had two chances by SWP which should have tied up the points, Adel had a blinding chance against City which should have tied up the points and yesterday we missed a pen which would have given us three points. Had we taken those chances we would have won each game one nil and would be sitting with 23 points (Joint 17th) had we won all those games comfortably, as you suggest we need to lets say each of them 5 nil, we would have 23 points and be joint 17th!!!

Your correct we should have won yesterday had we scored the pen we would have but I am amazed your prepared to turn your nose at at one nil dirty victories as realistically its going to be those types of games which will determine our future. Were not going to go from a side struggling to score to one that rolls sides over. Reading look great at the moment becasue there free scoring the problem is they concede every week usually a minimum of two so should their goals dry up then there back to their early season form; were not conceding which means a minimum of a point take the few chances we do get like pens and its all three.

Im afraid the remainder of the season is not about entertainment its about getting points on the board, the time to entertain with 3 and 4 nil wins is when your top of the league or comfortable in mid table both of which we are not. Alot of people wont like it but I would take 13 dives in the box and 13 converted pens if it kept us up, I would happily not leave our half for 89mins as long as when we did leave it for that minute we score and win, I dont care I want us to stay up by hook or by crook.

For some reason I fancy us to win at Swansea I dont think we will loose at least.

We did look as settled a side as we had done in a long time when Jenas came on. Think it was becasue we had a player who wanted the ball and was comfortable picking it up in tight situations and confident in his ability that he would not loose it

If Zamora and Remy is the ideal partnership (I don't agree) why not Jay and DJ until the other to are fully fit? Those two cant be any worse than Mackie up top with Adel behind?

Jay my not be a prolific scorer but he can hold the ball up well and hasn't he just scored two in two games albeit in the cup?

I agree its not all over yet, but I think we will pick up wins away at Reading, Southampton, Villa and if we need the points, all three at Liverpool, who will have nothing to play for by then. At home the players feel the pressure and the misses by SWP v Spurs, Adel v Citeh and Norwich show this. They are trying too hard, not relaxed enough when in front of goal. Away from home the pressure isn't so much

Personally, I would like us to play this team for at least three games, injuries permitting, until Zamora is fully fit and Remy is back -

              Cesar
              Onuaha Samba Hill Fabio
              Townsend Derry Jenas Traore
              Taarabt
              Bothroyd
