Traore/Fabio can play whichever side they prefer so long as they do their job - which is to double up as FB+winger and run their legs off. From watching them play I think it is a good fit for the way both play.

    3-5-2
    --------------Cesar------------------
    --------Mbia-Samba-Hill--------------
    Traore-Jenas-Derry-Townsend-Fabio--
    -----------Remy--Adel---------------

Also a good fit for Mbia to move to CB (he and Derry play more like adventurous CBs than CMs anyway) and Derry can stay where he is.
5 in the middle because don't see any combo of CMs that can cope as a 4 so that fits with them.
Adel at #10 with Remy so they don't get isolated. Adel has no responsibilities and can just make trouble rather than looking over his shoulder.
Feed the ball to Jenas to act as playmaker in the middle or play it thru for Adel/Remy/Livermore to run on to.
If under pressure it could also fold back to a (almost) solid central defensive formation like vs THFC/CFC/City while leaving two up top.
Seems to me that 3-5-2 formation fits the actual players available better than any other.

Do people actually not know that Remy is injured?

        Caesar
        Onuhuna
        Samba
        Hill
        Traore
        SWP
        MBia
        Granero
        Jenas
        Townsend
Tarabat (false 9, like away at the Scum)

This assuming that the French Matthew Rose has not recovered from his groin strain.

I know we're away but we really do need to go for it - anything other than a win isn't good enough with us being 6 pts adrift of safety.

              I'd go:

              Cesar
              Fabio Samba Hill Traore
              SWP Mbia Granero Townsend
              Tarbs
              Zamora

I know BZ isn't fully fit but I'd have Bpthroyd & DJ on the bench for later on in the game. I appreciate that CM looks abit lightweight but Swansea aren't the most physical side and I reckon that side is about as attacking as we can be given our current squad.

By the way, am I missing something regards Remy's injury - why are people putting him in their sides for Saturday?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Townsend is not a central midfielder! He's get completely overrun. We need his width.

Jenas has barely played, is not going to be ready for 90 mins especially away at Swansea where we will spend a lot of time without the ball. I'd go for:

                  Cesar
                  Fabio-Samba-Hill-Traore
                  Taarabt-Granero-Derry-Mbia-Townsend
                  Bothroyd

4-4-2 would be very tough against Swansea as they keep the ball well enough as it is. We need 5 in MF against them and break quickly. A couple of seaons ago at home we won 3-0 I think doing just that, countering quickly. They are a better team now but same principle applies.

Should definitely put in a battling performance and we may just nick it, they will not want to pick up injuries or sendings off, as they will then miss the Wembley final 2 weeks later.......so get into them and put them off their stride like Norwich did down there.

That's what I was about to write. If Remy is unfit, I'd start with Bothroyd and then possibly replace him with Zamora in the 2nd half.

HR said after the game yesterday that Remy has a torn groin muscle that he did in training Friday, will be out for 6 weeks

agree with this. Let's just sit deep and then take advantage from a set piece

Yeah. Formations don't mean too much but 352 does at least show a way to field two strikers without risking getting overrun in midfield like 442 does.
