I love the guy and he is great to watch, but why does he take everything.

Today we had a number of corners and free kicks in decent positions and his delivery:

1. Either does not get past the near post

2. Or he just floats into the box

I can see why Granero when he plays wants to take the ball off him, although his are pretty poor as well.

Last season 48% of goals in the Premiership were scored from a set piece so it's a good chance to score, so why do we not practise and get someone to take them who can whip them in. Whenever we get a set piece these days I just think we might as well give the ball back to the opposition!

Tarbs is below average at set-pieces, but I think the reason he takes them is because everyone else is sh1te. Jenas took one off him, now I don't expect everything to go in, but that effort from Jenas was sh1te. Townsend took our first corner and it didn't clear the first man. The fact is, we're just sh1te.

Tested the keeper? It lacked power, swerve, curl, and was straight at him. It wouldn't even have "tested" a non-league keeper.

I don't know what the stats are but I would reckon we have the worst conversion rate of goals from free kicks, corners and penalties in the league.
Most fans get excited when their team has a free kick or corner because it's seen as an opportunity to score, not the case with us
