Totally agree.

Goal keepers are far more agile these days and as you see on many occasions they save quite a few penaltys, a 6' 2 keeper can get to the corners very quick the only thing they can't do is get up high,if you saw Messi's pen tonight that is the perfect spot.

I got paid for playing football, I signed a contract, so i'd say that's classed as a football career big man!

Penalties are never guaranteed or an exact science. As pointed out already, the best players in the world miss the odd pen. If Messi hadnt missed that pen in the semi, Chelsea wouldn't have won the champions league, would not have been in the champions league this season having finished outside the top 4 and may have started to implode as that was always the driving need for Roman..... but the stupid Argie did miss!

Sometimes keepers make brilliant saves and if a good pen is saved you say fair enough, but there are bad pens. Bad pens are ones that miss the target completely, don't get near enough to the post if going one side or other, or efforts that are telegraphed and obvious by bodyshape or lack of any disguise. Although not the worst pen ever, Adel's fell in that last catagory and wsn't great. It was pretty well struck, but obvious.

Spot on,I was sure with the shape he ran at he was going to pull it into the opposite corner at the last minute.

Yeah it was far enough to the post, it was hard enough, it was to the floor, but his body language gave the keeper the advantage he needed to make the save. Too bad - and ofc not good enough Adel.

If you don't vote it's a bad pen - simple as. No professional footballer should miss a free shot at goal from 12 yards.

He didn't miss, the keeper made a good save. Keepers sometimes do that.

I'd say it was an average penalty, better than half the pens I've seen and not as good as half the pens I've seen. And most of those that were worse still went in.
