Look at the team sheet...look at it again and then one last look.....we have some amazing players. No reason why there should be any panic at all...we just need a monster at the back to stop attacks and then a goal scorer...we got both. Could have been a lot worse!
It's a very risky strategy, and I don't think TF would have supported it if we were further behind the other teams, but at least we've now got a fighting chance. Don't even want to consider what will happen if we go down though...
Gamble yes. But it's required. The options were to throw abit of money at the window and bringing players in to maximise our chances of survival (which we have done). Or we stuck with what we had and would have, more than likely, been relegated.
Relegation this year would be terrible for us - what with the increased revenue for being in the PL next year. Tony & the board has gone for it and rightly so - we're only 4 points off of safety - it would have been crazy of us to take the latter option mentioned above. In the bigger picture this gamble will be well worth it - should it come off. Which I, pesonally, have every faith it will - starting with a win tomorrow.
COYRs!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
