Hardly the worst scoring record at this level...

2005/2006 West Ham United Premier League 37 games, 14 goals
2004/2005 West Ham United Championship 48 games, 17 goals
2003/2004 West Ham United Championship 31 games, 13 goals
2003/2004 Nottingham Forest Championship 19 games, 12 goals
2002/2003 Nottingham Forest Championship 46, games 20 goals
2001/2002 Nottingham Forest Championship 28, games 11 goals

Kevin Phillips, Michael Chopra and James Beatie have never been prolific in the Prem, yet seem to do it at this level.

I'd be more than happy to take Harewood.

what happened in 2007 and 2008?
For me he has been far to happy picking up his fat salary while sunning himself on the bench. We have enough players that don't want to play for the shirt and I think he would be a big gamble and would join that group.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm highlighting his stats at this level, hence me saying 'hardly the worst scoring record at this level'. If I'd shown Chopra's or Kamara's stats in the Prem when I was raving about them, it wouldn't have made for good reading really. Kamara hit 20 in this league last time out and Chopra has always been prolific in the CCC. Look at them in the Prem...looks pretty aweful, but we'd have them, right? If we were in the Prem and after him, I'd not want him, but he is the type of striker who can do it at this level...

I know if my guv'nor said to me ..Sorry but you're not cutting the mustard at the moment so we're going to second you out to another company for 'experience' I would n't have the nerve to say sorry mate but I aint going knowwhere I'm staying put on the same wages, terms etc regardless of my below par performances!!. Just goes to show player power. Could you ever see Clough, Fergie , wenger or any manager with a set of balls ever having to back down over telling a player the way it is! The lunatics have truly taken over tha asylem!!!
I can't believe that our board would allow a player to dictate this.
They don't allow the managers to dictate anything, do they, so certainly not a player.
I suspect that it was more a case of all sitting down and discussing options, and that the resultant decision was mutually agreed.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Well I think you need to look at attitude.
Over the last few games it is clear to see that we have 2 many big time charlies.
IMHO I think Harewood is lazy and I can't see him putting in a shift at places like Blackpool, donny , scunny etc. We already have Dave who doesn't like to break a sweat and that is why I think this young kid from Arsenal could be a very good signing. He will want to impress unlike to many of our players just happy to pick up their fat pay cheque.

Maybe, but I don't but this attitude thing. It seems very easy to say this about many players. A reson I hear we didn't go for Bent which is utter b0ll0cks as he's a top pro.

Unless we give him a go, we'll never know...and for me, he looks worth a go.

Ok to be honest I don't rate Harewood.
I think he is fat useless and doesn't have a footballing brain.
If he is on the radar then I would not be pleased.
Yes I think Bent would be a much better signing.

                  Haha, fat and useless?
                  A little harsh, maybe?

Like I say...I'm not his biggest fan, but he could do a far better job than the current lot we have. Bent and Harewood would compliment Simpson quite well at this level. Neither are going to help us at the next level, but they could certainly help us get there.

when hull make their panic buys and go for a centre forward that no-one has heard of Caleb Folan will be available for a transfer. Not exactly prolific but plays the big bruiser/target man roll very well and perhaps an ideal partner for Simpson?
Win or lose, on the booze

QprJim I actually think Folan would be a very good signing and much better than the likes of Harewood.

Daryl Murphy is surplus to requirements at Sunderland. Just a thought.

Plays for Sunderland, and he's Irish.

                              Guess where he'll end up??

We still have the option for loans after transfer deadline day
After another summer to strengthen the team why the hell are we still looking at loans - we have money now!!!!!
