It was a terrible and unnecessary idea. The Walsall game was fine, but after that he should have been eased back in with a few sub appearances. He should not have been brought back on a full time basis until mid Oct.

It’s not as if Hughes had no options in midfield is it?
He had Diakite, Granero, Mbia, Park, Derry for central midfield roles.

As for those who say he was not up to Prem level, that’s not what his stats last season would suggest.

His tackling was up there with the best, as was his passing and assists for goals/chances.

When you say his stats were up there with the best, do you mean at QPR or in the division? I agree about his coming back too soon from injury...

Diakite will be back soon also to help bolster numbers, althogh frankly he is a loose cannon.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. He'll be back, just needs game time and Italy is perfect for him as you get a lot of time on the ball. Hopefully he does well there and gets his confidence back.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Great news. Remember having a pop at him on here at the start of the season saying he was 2 yards too slow for the Premiership and got roasted for it. Guess I'm not a bad judge of player after all...

Lets hope it means an extended run for Park.
I'd have thought so Dave. Maybe the Parker rumour has some substance. Nodge says Townsend on loan so that would rule out Livermore as you can only have two national loans I believe?
Ah that was what i was wondering on another thread, ...very interesting

Although HR has regularly said it's difficult to get anyone in so far. Either too much money wanted from selling club or player doesn't want to join a team at the bottom of the league.

Plus clubs are waiting until the last minute to get as much money as they can for players. E.g. Odemwingie. First approach rejected saying no-one is for sale then second approach rejected saying not enough cash offered....

I really hope he gets back to his old self, the last 2 seasons he was my favorite player. People fail to realise the role he fills, he likes to play quite deep, taking the ball off the defense and distributing it forward, and defensively breaking up play. When he didnt play we seemed lost and tended to hoof the ball upfield, when we are not fighting for survival and playing decent football to feet from the back to the front, he is the perfect man for this.

I wish him well, and if he has a good recovery he will make a name for himself over the next few seasons

always liked Faurlin but recently he's been way below par and a loan may be good for everyone
suppose the bad injury is the cause of hs demise as he looked pretty comfortable in PL prior to the injury
hope he gets properly fit, regans confidence and comes back as the top player he was

Will always have fond memories of Faullin, was different class in the promotion year and as others have said perhaps the injury has hammpered him a bit. Hope he does well out there, good luck to him

I will be sad to see him go. Had high hopes for a faurlin granero centre mid partnership but sadly not to be!

I seem to recall these stats were Premier League not just QPR players.

Hopefully his loan will be so that he regains his confidence and fitness, because I think on his best form, he is a very good player who can pass, tackle, win headers and protect the back four as well as join in with attacking play.

Christ, no. Anything but. Never want to see him again.

Never recovered from his injury- Hughes threw him back into the team far too quickly IMO. Hope he gets some games under his belt out there and comes back for a full pre-season with us in the summer. There is still a Premiership quality there.
