  • Well Done Harry

He's got to be partially vindicated for his team selection on Saturday now, a point against Manchester City is a point most of us didn't think we'd get. Sure a 0-0 was something we hoped was a possibility, but we made it happen again. Yes Cesar, Nelsen and others more than play their part but Harry has definitely instilled something into the team.

How many clean sheets did we get with Hughes in the league? I can only remember the 3-0 against Swansea off the top off my head. We've more than got tough to beat down, excluding Saturday's performance of course.

Now though, comes the much harder step. Winning a game we are expected to win in the league. Hughes didn't do it, again with the exception of Swansea at home, did he? But I have faith that we can do it. We're a team definitely bubbling with confidence, and surely Norwich must be anything but. We have a days extra rest on them and they're bound to exert themselves against Spuds tomorrow.

I am worried about our creativity. Outside of Adel, we look very poor in this area. If I had a worry, it's that we are looking to boost CD, DM and CF. But if we can't feed the strikers are we going to win enough games?

    Also 1-0 Spurs, 1-0 Stoke.

Yes great point and the only way we were going to have a chance was to rest the side in the cup. Correct decision as that point could be everything come end of season, whereas, we are never gonna win the cup.

Of course, how could I forget them hah. Guess we're all still smarting from Hughes' tenure and hard to remember the good times under him.

If we can beat Norwich he will be fully vindicated. I do worry though if we fail to win, or even lose how fans will react..

Creativity is definitely a concern. The midfielders have not performed / lived up to expectation with the exception of Adel. Granero/Faurlin/Diakite have not been as good this season as any of us expected - and we know Derry will not give much going forward, much as we love him for his defensive effort. Mbia is better defensively than going forward also - his passing is his weak point. We rarely seem to be able to drive forward with fluency in the middle, or make the final telling passes to the forwards. If we had, then likely Cisse would still be here as we know that when he gets the service, he is a good finisher (just too lazy to contribute much outside of that). This is why it's a shame M'villa did not work out, and alongside a CB (or two!), a creative, incisive midfielder is actually for me, a priority.

This is where the BZ/Remy partnership comes in. We continue to defend and hoof it up to BZ who holds it up/lays it off for Remy. No creative midfield required.
            Looking forward to it.......

Harry has been fantastic, hopefully we get some players in before fri, and get climbing the table. Harry's staying in London till the transfer window closes.

Oh Lord no! Maybe I should have made it more obvious that I was being sarcastic. Still, if it works I'll take it at this point.
