Again I think there is a lot of ignorance when it comes to Granero:

    1. If Harry says he is the free-kick taker (which I am guessing he is saying), Adel needs to back off when we get one. As someone said earlier in this thread, it must add a lot of pressure. His corners etc are generally very good.

    2. Yes he lost possession a few times in the first half. We could all see that. These things happen especially in the difficult conditions as the first touch is a lot harder. Also, you need to consider if players were showing up for him... However whoever said he is lightweight is completely wrong. Look how he holds the ball most of the time when he has it. Also, look at how many tackles he made yesterday, quite a few.

    3. It was him who put Adel through, it was him who put Remy through for the shot that nearly deflected in the first half. He split their defence 3-4 times yesterday with incredible through balls. He is a genuine match-winner.

    4. He worked his nads off for the team and defended superbly.

    5. We need different types of players. Derry will virtually never make an assist. You need to take more risks to make an assist, so generally you give the ball away a bit more.

agreed, spends far too much whining at the ref too rather than getting on with the task at hand. theres a hint of the emperors clothes about him.

In general though I reckon there is a good player in Granero. Just needs to be a bit more consistent.
We shouldn't be booing any of our players at all as for Granero poor first half better second with the free kick think we should have tapped it to the side and let someone have a crack especially with the wind and skiddy ground we dont really have a deadball specialist Granero's & Taarabt's conversion rates are both poor Granero v WBA this season Adel last against Spurs last year, dont know how many we've had round the box? but Doesn't really say we've got anyone special like other clubs do

Needs a run of games to get back. Agree on the Free-kicks, knew he was gonna miss the target.

Granero is still relatively new to the PL and the pace is much quicker than in Spain.
Overall, he's been ok for us without setting the world alight but he has got good ability and Harry rates him
I like him and would want to keep him

Granero's biggest downside is that he seems to lack half a yard of pace. That may not be needed in La Liga but in the Premier league, without it an otherwise good player becomes somewhat ordinary.

the one he blasted into the upper loft last night he never should of taken. he places his free kicks and you cant place a free kick from 30 yards. adel goes for power so he should take everything in shooting distance from 22 yards plus granero should stick to free kicks on the edge of the area
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Thought he was the weak link last night, passing was atrocious at times

His passing last night was so poor and all this **** with taking all the free kicks,I wouldn't mind so much if made the keeper work but he never does.I shall be asking HR next week if it is in his contract that he has the authority over free kicks.Im not saying that Adel is much better but with his confidence on a high last night surely he was the one if any to score a goal

This. He's so, so slow. He makes Tommy Smith look quick. And he can be lightweight. Lacks swagger....... Really hope he can prove me wrong.

Get off his back - support him - will be a key player in the run in.
Last night made the passes for the only 2 chances we had

because of how slow he is he ends up grabbing opposing players as they start to get away from him.....done it loads of times last night and i was worried he would end up with a red card.

He can be very very good, but hasn't had a great game from beginning to end other than Spurs away or Chelsea home and away.

He plays better against teams that back off him, but I think he's still really struggling to get used to the pace and intensity of the game over here.

He's a brilliant footballer, just needs time and games to adapt and find his confidence.
