  • Magilton

Iv been reading alot of threads about Jim's rant at the players and there seems to be a lot of support for him publicly slaughtering them for there mistakes and bad performance.

Seems to me that he is willing to blame everyone else but he hasnt mentioned anything about the bad tactics and team selection from himself.

I think the guy is a liability and will not get the club promoted. He is a backwards step from both Dowie and Sousa.

I disagree. The manager can only do a certain amount to enhance the teams performance. At the end of the day it's the players who get out onto that pitch and either deliver a good, or a bad performance and we've seen a bit of both this season. Tuesday night was obviously not how Magilton wants his players to play, they were sloppy and uninterested, they let their ego's get ahead of them.

Magilton was correct to criticize the players. If he was to have held his hands up and said ' You know what lads, this was my fault, I've not done a good enough job ' do you think they would have taken as much notice on they're own performance? no. We have a lot of individual talent in the squad and yes it's the managers job to get them to gel, but a performance like the one on tuesday should not happen to a team with the players we have. And those players needed a kick up the r's!!

Jim may, or may not be the man to take us up, it's too early to call but all I can say right now is KEEP THE FAITH!!

for the players to want to play his way then surely he should play them in their best positions, stop changing the team game to game and perhaps stop making the bench stronger than the team on the pitch.

Sometimes it isn't the managers fault, the players let their manager down badly, now whether that is to do with the fact that they do not respect him or whether they cannot get motivated is another matter.

Magilton is just a lower profile Roy Keane.

His tactical knowhow is rubbish - choose any game so far as evidence.

His team selection is a joke - we can all see that.

His 'the louder i shout at them the better they will play attitude' is wrong.

He will get found out big time in this league. You can have the best squad in the world but if they are not managed properly you wont get anywhere.

Things like this happens all over the world.

You can say what you mean to some players. To Others you cant.

It isent fair to critize Magilton just because many dislike him while BUZZ is the hero.
It could be that Buzz also needs a "message":red_heart:

Dont worry, i think Buzz did play bad on Tuesday. Do you think he wanted to play bad? Its not due to lack of effort on his part.

There were players who were not putting any effort in, Ageymang and Pellicori for definite.

Magilton chose to pick out Buzz and Gorkss as examples during his press conference which are two players who have consistently played well for the Hoops. It wasnt down to lack of effort that they were bad on Tuesday.

Maybe some of us would like Ray "Mr Nice Guy" Wilkins to manage us again?

A man who was incapable of slating anyone.

A bloke whose press conferences continually mentioned the phrases "unlucky" or "unfortunate" to lose but they are good, honest players and I'm sure we'll get the breaks and win soon."

Yeah, right. Where did that get us?

Ok sorry, my mistake but you get that picture. By the way Pellicori is rubbish, did you see him against Forest?

Just think 6 games isn't enough time to judge and hang a manager. And if we sack him, realistically, who we gonna get? Think it through.

The grim reaper will get Magilton by the end of September and another failed puppet will be installed for a few months.
