we would be relegated with that midfield.. faurlin can takle yes but he needs either legs, rowlands and mahon with him

Its the formation that is the problem. Square pegs round holes. Too many attacking and too many defending midfielders, none that can do both, except Rowlands who is always injured.

Solve that issue and we will look at look more cohesive.

4-2-3-1 is the way to go. Let the 2 defending midfielders do what they are good at and let the attacking midfielders do there job. Issue is that the 1 up front needs to be able to hold the ball up. Simpson is unlikely to do this and would work best with HH or Pellicori who are both crap.

4-2-3-1 is the way to go. Let the 2 defending midfielders do what they are good at and let the attacking midfielders do there job. Issue is that the 1 up front needs to be able to hold the ball up. Simpson is unlikely to do this and would work best with HH or Pellicori who are both crap.

i feel we would do okay if we became very strict and told our back "four no long balls" some moments against forest we passed really well. just for some reason our wingers decided to come inwards.. which was tactically the worst possible thing they could do.
