Firstly, I like TF, he's a passionate guy and he wants the best for the club and he has been supportive of all of the managers to a fault. But that's kind of the problem. Also, tweeting seems an arena for trolls and idiots and like most people have said, most anyone can go on claiming to be a rangers fan and have a go. I cant see how its constructive, and of you had a genuine problem with TF and can form an intelligent question in 140 characters or whatever it is, then he is the sort to actually reply with another sensible answer.
TF has been extremely naive since day one, throwing money around left right and centre. This may work in businesses he is used to and with good cause. Money = quality you would think, but in football its not so easy. There has been absolutely nothing 'long term' about TF's reign, absolutely nothing. All we have seen is high profile players to 'boost the profile of the club' which is a revenue making exercise rather than something to secure the future of the club.
He has tried to jump too quickly and I dont think its to satisfy his ego or anything like this, I just think its over-enthusiasm and a lack of understanding about football.
The problem is though, i dont think he is learning.
When he came in we made some exciting big name signings, all on big money and all successful players. It didnt work and we sacked our manager. Then in the Winter window, hughes was allowed to go out and do the same thing. Big names, big wages. We'll buy our way out of trouble…. We ended up not gaining a single league possession. So then this summer we do the same thing again…… Naivety is one thing. Its nice, someone who doesn't know much is trying their best and we love a trier.. But it can only go so long before you need to learn from your mistakes. And now with HR, we seem to be going down the same route. Every year we get in trouble, then have to panic buy our way out of it due to the players we purchased previously. We are becoming a club where the starting 11 has a 6 month shelf life and its a laughing stock.
I know TF is being advised etc and its managers and agents that have taken advantage of him, but a fool and his money are quickly parted and he should really have known better. This man is very, very successful, not to mention the other backers behind him. Could all of them really have been so easily persuaded that multiple CL winners past their prime were really going to come and have a dogfight and fight for their lives for a very small club?
I dont want TF to go, i want him to stay and be the great owner he can be as he clearly loves QPR, but he needs to lower his ambitions on the pitch, work hard off it and perhaps be a little less personable and take more of a back seat. Consolodate the side and then build piece by piece as what we have at the moment is totally unsustainable.
