  • If we are lucky enough to escape this situation we are in, Mr. Fernandes should be wise enough to put on his board some QPR people who knows the Premier well. The club administration is filled with people who knows little about the emotions and affection of this club. The cry to buy british, younger and hungry players from the lower divisions is somewhat a sign of what the real R's supporters want for their club. By time we can change. But it will take time.

    • This is such a over reaction it's ridiculous what he has said is if he fails the club he will leave. What the fudge is wrong with that's it's blatantly obvious if you fail at something and can't fix it you leave and get somebody else to do the job.

What does he constitute failure as being though buzz?

        • Great post martinmalta. those are his mistakes along with signing players for shirt sales.

your last five words hit the nail on the head for me.

if he has not got the guts or the "time" to make his "project" work, then he is best just to move on and let someone who wants to be here for the long haul.

            • does not help matters when he is shouting that he will be the first one to leave if he "fails"
what impact does this have on the club as a whole when he spouts stuff like this every couple of months?

              • He's probably fed up.

I think maybe he's sorry for the amount he spent with Hughes and sacking NW. I've seen it happen at so many clubs, look at poor Nigel Adkins, similar to NW sacked too quick.

He then backs the manager and provides tranfer funds (something that's rarely happened in our history), and in the meantime goes about building the club a new training ground and youth academy, and is planning a state-of-art stadium. He is doing for us what most clubs can only dream of. Ok, the Hughes appointment didn't work out so Tony got rid.

It's not Tony's fault we're in a disastrous league position. He hired what he thought was a football manager. Many fans were in full support of the appointment and are now turning on the chairman. We now have a proper football manager who is trying to rectify the mistakes Hughes made. In this endeavour he is being given full support by the chairman in the transfer market. It is neither Tony nor Harry's fault we can't get our targets. Not many players will come to a club that's in deep trouble.

The entire blame lies with Mark Hughes who masqueraded as a football manager and has proved he is not. If Tony and Harry can't turn this around, no one in the world can. We have to support our team, our manager, and our chairman. If we're to get out of trouble it will only be by the efforts of fans, management, board, and players. Public slaggings of any of these components will not work, but support might.

                  Come on you Rsss.

                  • Guardian headline is TF to quit if QPR is relegated. But story only refers to what we know already....

The Queens Park Rangers owner, Tony Fernandes, said he will leave the club if they are relegated after watching them humiliated by MK Dons in the FA Cup

                    • Good post Richard. Amazes me in the internet age how people think they can just totally abuse someone - even someone who has done as much for our club as tony fernandes - then they are surprised when he turns round and sounds as if he has had enough of it all. i for one can't blame him.

                      • Anyone can pretend they're a QPR fan on twitter. I think it's a poor excuse. He should be paying attention to the real fans at Loftus Road who have always appreciated him

This is not what he said. He said "Always spirit up. If I can't fix it, I will be the first to go." I take this to mean that he intends fixing the problem. Also a lot of fans are tweeting to say that they still support him 100%.

Not like newspapers to have sensationalist headlines with little content in the article that we didnt already know.
