  • Just back...

Dont really need to state the obvious but i will.. that was shocking.

forget this whole 2nd string ********.

mk dons are 2 leagues below us and that '2nd string' should be able to do the job and not get slaughtered 4-0 - which is what happened. it's also worrying if we go down that will be close to the team we have.

park ferdinand need never wear the hoops again.. they offer nothing to us. even if/when we go down they need to be shot of.

I'm a huge faurlin fan and to some extent mackie fan - i'll easily come on here and defend either player but today i saw two very below average performances.

faurlin - given chance to offer us something against a lower league side.. you'd expect him to be hungry and wanting to impress. he couldn't pass water. shoved off the ball too easily. just all round poor - and thats from a fan of his.

mackie whilst runs all day long and gee's up the crowd. showed today that he is not a winger and never will be. he doesnt offer us anything going forward.

as harry just said on Sky sports.. not good enough. we're not bottom because we're underperforming.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I thought first half we actually played some decent football and looked good but as is the case when it comes to having too shoot or playing a ball to open them up it fell flat.

Had DJs goal counted it would have been interesting to see the outcome as all in all they had four shots and they all went in every shot we had hit their keeper.

Watch Boothroyd for the first the goal was totally his fault tracked his man to the front post then just put the brakes on while their player continued and scored. We beat ourselves today.

Leaving the ground having lost to a side two leagues below us it dawned on me I was not bothered about going out the cup, if we had lost a league game I would have been steaming but im not fussed at all. This season is about one thing and one thing only and that is staying in the prem. Possibly two players from today will start Tuesday so roll on City

It's not about being fussed about going out of the cup. It's the disappointment of the apparent lack of passion, interest or heart! The players were so lacklustre, the atmosphere was shocking..I don't think Harry left his seat for the whole game!

Yeah, Park and Ferdinand were absolute pants today, but Faurlin amply displayed the reasons why Harry doesn't play him in the league. If Faurlin starts against Man City, I'll eat me head.

Like I said we gave them the first two goals had we not done that we go in nil nil (Still not good enough against a 2nd tier side). A few of the players showed passion I saw a few of them getting stuck into each other but simply as an 11 today they were not good enough which given its a prem squad is not good enough. We were the better side first half and switching off twice gave them two goals.

And you spot on about crowd for 17k or there abouts it was dire even thought the away end for their numbers and score line was quiet

Agreed, 2individual errors 2 goals. The 2nd half response was shocking. No atmosphere , no pressure, it was as if we were the team 2 up and just passing across the back line

I must agree on Mackie, love the guy but he does seem to just run into people with ball. However he gives 110% every minute of every games
