The reason clubs like us and Newcastle are going to France is becasue players there represent value for money, and an investment, given any sell on in a few years is likely to be for a big profit to another prem club. You say they come for the money, but what you need to remember is the average wage in such leagues is much lower than the prem, so some players' expectations and what they end up getting may be lower than you think. Compare that to prem players who've been overpaid for years and expect the same and probably higher wages.

AS for Value for money, look at Remy... French International striker in his prime for £8m... the equivelent in England is Bent.... £24m.... M'Villa, French internationl fee agreed for £7m, Cabeye £5m, Ben Arfa £2m... English based players Henderson £20m, Downing £20m, Johnson £10m, Flether £12m, Jarvis £12m......

I know which players i'd prefer.

I actually decided not to put Carroll in becasue nobody on planet earth would've ever suggested his value was anything like that amount, except that idiot Dalglish, who then muggesd off the naive owners. All the others, although to a similar extent he also mugged them off to a lesser extent with Henderson / Downing, they are the sort of fees generally bandied about for those type of players.

Roland would be a good signing. Can communicate with cesar no prb.

Both speak portugese and roland much younger and skilled than nelson.

Harry just looks at the players, if he likes em he just tells the geezas with the money to pay em... simple.

I think we got lucky signing remy, If Harry cannot get someone in by Monday he's will have to lower his expectations of the type of players he like to bring to the club.

I get we play in one of the best league in the world... if not the best, but top players don't fancy joining a club especially a club who are in the dog fight.

The way I see it we are well in the second half of the season now , get some few bodies in ( 2 new cb, 1 cm and 1 fw) on loan or short term contract and see the season out.

If we stay up then Harry can build a new team in the summer.

I'm off now, see you girls later x
