It is worth having an academy, but QPR haven't has any good set up since Chris Wright ended the last one.

However, in order to keep good youngsters QPR would need to have a decent team like they did in the 80s and 90s otherwise they will be poached like Parrett and Sterling.
Although even if they do get poached QPR can get compensation so it is still worth having an Academy.

when my boy was at Sarfend there wasnt Academy they were center of excellence like QPR had.Had some good lads over there through all the ages and had lads coming down from Peterborough area as well. Most of their older teams though were full of lads let go from London sides at 15/16 and belive me there are loads let go.Their U18s were sh it hot and won their league but Sarfend then let almost all go at end of season.Alot of lads [British] must be so dissheartened with the Pro game in this country as they dont really get a chance.Clubs stack and rack kids from 8 to stop otheres getting them and basically ruin them.My sons club side before Sarfend lost players to Millwall, chelsea,Norwich,Ipswich,Arsenal and Dagers, and only the one at Arsenal may make it as hes captain of year above side.
