Simpson will work well with this type of striker.
People really miss the point sometimes. Bent is better than any striker we have currently...that I'm certain of.Your mum would love me...

So Pete, just because Vine SAYS he wants to stay and fight, you are happy to keep trying him up front when so far he's been absolutely pony?
All QPR players seem to be able to talk the talk (Vine- wants to stay and prove his worth, Tarrabt with his 15 goal target, Helguson when he first signed saying he'll score 90 out of 100 chances) but NONE of them seem to be able to walk the walk.
FACT- Vine has been poor this season so far and is a shadow of the player he was before his injury. YES he needs games to regain fitness and perhaps his form, but we cant afford passengers right now. Id put it to Vine that he either puts up, or shuts up and goes out on loan until he re-finds his confidence.
Our forward line is worse now than when we were in Division 2, and id even go as far as saying when we were last relegated from this division. Amongst our forward line back in those days we had Peter Crouch, Kevin Gallen, Andy Thompson and Paul Furlong who all chipped in with goals. Right now we have 4-5 strikers, and are spoilt for choice on who to play.....just a shame that NONE of them are capable of scoring.
In my opinion, Vine looked fantastic on the left wing for us. With Cook constantly crocked and **** anyway, Balanta seemingly not ready, and Tarrabt being used as a striker, Vine should be given a run out there to see if his form improves.
Too many people are being played out of position right now which is clearly affecting morale and our results. Tarrabt and Vine are left wingers, NOT strikers! Buzsaky is at his best behind the front 2, NOT stuck out on the wing where he cant influence the game. Nobody seems to know where Hogan Ephraims best position is, but considering he's one of the only players scoring at the moment, and played well there last season, surely it's worth trying him in the middle?
I for one would like our midfield to look something like:
Routledge-----Ephraim-------Rowlands/Legs---------Tarrabt
With Buz behind the front man.
OR failing that...
Routledge--------Buzsaky--------Rowlands/Legs------Tarrabt/Vine.Will change my user name to half full when QPR give me reason too...

Interesting from the Young Guns website via newsnow
Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers have struck a deal with Arsenal to sign Jay Simpson on a season long loan deal, with just a medical separating both parties from confirming the arrangement.
There is also murmurs coming from West London that QPR have a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ allowing them to sign Jay on a permanent basis should he impress sufficiently. The 20-year-old frontman impressed during a three-month loan spell with West Brom in the closing stages of last season, netting once in 13 Premier League games.

Why send Vine out on loan?
I would rather send Helgusson and Agyemang on loan, and let Vine regain his match fitness back.
I am confused why some think Taarabt is a striker. I know a few Tottenham fans and they all tell me that he has bags of skill, but no real end product. This suggests to me that he is best used as a winger.
I would be glad to keep Vine and give him a few more games to see if he makes any improvement.
In the meantime, Helgusson and Agyemang can be sold or loaned out, because they wont improve. Last season, fans were saying give Helguson time to regain his full fitness and he will improve. So how many games does he need and how many games have we given Vine?
