I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

We are a small club, I think we would be kidding ourselves if we said otherwise. We have a hardcore fanbase of about 10k - as our attendances during our spell out of the PL shows. A "big club", ie Man City, would be getting alot bigger gates than that regardless what league they were in. I only use Man City as an example as they were getting circa 30k fans in the third tier not so long ago. That's a "big" club IMO.

I, personally, love being a small club. Don't get me wrong I'd love to be successful and I appreciate if we were somehow ever to become successful we would attract many "fans", but I love being a small-ish club with our sized fan base - get to know plenty of the fans and see similar faces at matches... IMagine supporting a club like Chelski - fark that.

So big club = fan base?

Well no not solely but I think it is a key element. What else is there for you then?

I'd go history = we haven't exactly got bulging trophy room.

We not small club or big club. We are QPR and that all I care about in the end. We have loyal fans who will be with QPR no matter what and I believe we will grow. As I have read other post like why support QPR some due to family but there those have come along and been hooked and stayed watching us. Amit good example and Bill Baily came to a game and then could them self's fan. So as said at the start we not a small or big club we QPR simple.

Exactly. Not sure how anybody can think we're anything other tbh.

You said it. Fan base and trophy history sum up how 'big' a team is.

For most of our histories Fulham has been a considerably bigger club than QPR, We are probably not as big a club as Crystal Palace. We do have significant potential for growth though.

Hence why we're a small club.

We have a lot of potential to grow into a bigger club though ;-) Remember our location ;-)

Competing with loads of other clubs, catchment area wise. I don't think we will ever grow as big as some believe - can't ever see us consistantly selling out much more than a 25k seater. 30k absolute tops IMO. Would we really want them additional fans though? I know, commericlaly yes it would be great the more money coming in the better - but they're not going to be actual QPR fans are they - or they'd be here now supporting us?
