And the only CB thats been mentioned all month is Olssen, in a position FAR more pressing.

He's out of contract in the summer and has refused the latest offer from his club, so would be available at a cut price transfer fee.

Dont know much about him to be honest, but like Mvila has been capped by France so cant be shabby. Sounds a bit like a Diakite but hopefully with more self control... if so, he could be a great player.

English clubs are certainly milking the French league in recent times though, with Newcastle, Arsenal and now us seeming to focus all our attention that direction...soon the premiums will rocket.

Also, if we did nick another player from under Newcastle'#s nose not only would it be hilarious to see those Geordie fools crying into their pasties, but being serious, they could well be a team that we ultimately compete with for 17th place, if we are to survive. With that in mind, we need to do anything in our power to hinder their chances, and if it boosts us in the process by signing good players they want all the better...... Also we play them right at the business end of the season. Could well be our KEY fixture in the survival race.

Hoops pipped Geordies to Remy and could repeat the trick to sign Toulouse midfielder PLUS West Ham join Toon in race for Nancy defender

Seen him play couple times. Very strong player but his passing skills and touch are about on par with Mbia. So basically he's just a younger version on Stephane. Mvila much better player technical wise.

Now Capoue is a player I would spend serious wedge on. Class midfield player

I think we do need another option in the middle of the park, despite the fact we seem overloaded with midfielders, this was apparent against West Ham when we just couldn't get on the ball. To be honest we need to offload some dead wood too. It's clear Harry doesn't fancy Faurlin as a regular starter, Park is a shadow of what he was at Man Utd, Diakite is mental & the jury is still out on Granero. Perhaps Harry is also struggling to find a decent centre half and with some midfield re-enforcements he can shift M'Bia into the back 4.
