Agreed. But with him, Derry, Mackie and SWP or Park playing that role we've no one other than Adel playing the creative role. No one in midfield helping us keep possession and to mount attacks. We had our backs to the wall today largely because we put our backs to the wall...... It was great backs to the wall stuff, but as the old saying has it, attack is the best form of defence.

A point away from home and Remy scored, We've done well and still unbeaten in 2013.

Sorry - I disagree with the OP. Whilst I agree our defending was nothing short of Rorkes Drift, that was not a performance that gives me any confidence in our ability to stay up. We didnt/couldnbt string 3 passes together for over an hour of play after scoring and that is the sign of a very poor poor team. You have to be able to keep posession to give yourself half a chance and we just sat back, conceded posession and let them play. West Ham are not a great side. City at home next week. It is a good point but its the performance that worries me - awful !!!

So true, a good point! Still, we got run over in the second half and needed quite a bit of luck. I want Mbia playing instead of Derry with Mvila taking Mbias place, today Derry wasn't up for it...legs and brain got tired early.

Not sure it was a "very very good West Ham performance". Every week I keep reading how good the opposition are. Maybe its us that makes them look good. WHU have won something like two games out of the last 12. I'm delighted we stole a point after that battering but sooner or later we are going to have to beat one of these supposedly excellent sides such as WHU, Norwich, Sunderland or Wigan.

Some people forget how far we've come and also taking something away from an excellent West Ham 2nd half performance.

Survival comes from points like that not rolling over a team in poor form at home.

The past 3 away matches we've played all competitions against PL opposition read 2 wins, 1 draw that is a near miracle when compared to the previous 20+ matches before that

Its a fair comment. But would it not also be fair to point out that some other posters forget just how few games are left?

with respect to away games we've played 5/6 teams in the top 6 and we've to play 4/5 of the other teams in the bottom 6 away from home

If you re referring to my post, then youre wrong. I know there has been a vast improvement since Harry took over and before the match I believed if we could have nicked 3 points or a draw playing well, the omens might have been good. Unfortunately, despite early optimism the team relied on back to the wall tactics and were uttelry dire and devoid of any ideas, movement, passing, link up play and were over run not by a fantastic WH second half but just by a team that wanted to win against a team that cant buy a win. (I know we beat Chelsea and West Brom) but today I expected us to kick on from that, play with a bit more confidence and a bit more positivity. We were absolutely awful. Apart from Alamo defence. As has been pointed out. Not long left and Im getting very worried.

We can't buy a win yet we've won 2 of our last four? I've read some pony on here over the years and this is right up there with the best

Could be 7 point gap if Villa win tonight.

Agree that signalled the end of any chance of getting a second as he was the out ball playing on the shoulder. Never done an awful lot up top once he had gone wide
