  • Excellent Point

Excellent point , reading some of the comments on the match thread is embarrassing. Yet another outstanding defensive display , thought Mbia and Ceasar were brilliant, I'd have taken 5pts from Chelsea (A), Spurs (H) and West Ham (A) 2 weeks ago. We've gone from being a disorganised shambles under Hughes to a very resilient organised outfit under Redknapp. Beat MK Dons and a probable defeat against Man City would be an excellent January. Its Feb / Mar when the points are to picked up, we've closed the gap from 8pts to 4pts in the relegation places since the defeat against Liverpool, clubs are looking over their shoulder at us and worrying, Newcastle are in dire straights and same with Villa and Adkins sacking could be the undoing of Southampton.

Long way to go , its gonna be close come May

Totally agree. We need that midfielder to get the balls to our forwards then its game on.

I've been reading the match thread and while it was obvious we did not keep or pass the ball in the right way it it's always the same when you play against a kick and rush style...the hammers bypassed the midfield because for twenty minutes adel had them chasing shadows and marking areas. i also see this as a good point and we defended very well as a team.. one thing which was noticed was when mackie went off that channel was too open and thats where the goal came from...mackies work rate is unreal. winning home games is paramount.we would have lost this 5 or 6 weeks ago. last year we stayed up on goal difference so every point is vital.

Agree with pretty much all of that, however I don't get the excitement about m'bia, thought he was poor today and he's very basic. Diame looked 1 of west hams better players and i'd love us to get him but I would of thought he has better offers.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Yes, good post. Match thread comments are always cringeworthy even if its going ok.
Unbeaten in 2013 and doing well under Harry. Well earnt away point today.

After losing the lead and being battered for most of the match it doesn't feel like a good point right now but I suppose you're right W12!

mbia is not a world beater but he breaks up play, puts his body on the line and gets in everyones face...2 excellent blocks kept us in the game

Mbia was excellent again today, thought Diame looked average. Hope we don't sign him

Spot on, fabulous point against a very very good WHU performance, breath taking 2nd half by the Hammers and to get a point is great. Mbia and Cesar were absolutely superb.

Rode our luck but a good point nonetheless which we would have taken before the game.

M'Bia showed in that late run going forward that he is really here to be a destroyer, not a playmaker and I thought he did well today, I wish he could keep a bit of possesion after he breaks up plays!

remy into right mid when mackie went off was strange....would have left remy up top or taken him off. rode our luck for sure and thought the two ryan and clint were soild ....would have preferred to see adel left on and remy taken off but not complaining over another valuable point!.

                              Best Post of the Week.

But I still fancy us gaining another point at Man City. ;-)
