  • Disagree with Harry's tactics

    Why take mackie off?
Why put our goal scorer on the right where he was wasted and bring bothroyd on?
Why not sub a knackered Derry earlier?

I think Harry got it wrong today, and although i would have taken a point before the game, i think in the end it was 2pts wasted.

I agree. We lost all impetus in the second half and took a battering but i would have taken a point before the game so i will gladly take it now. I honestly dont know what has happened to our passing. Earlier in the season we played a lot of nice one touch stuff but now we cant keep the ball for toffee. Having said that we now have to grind out results so i suppose the pretty stuff has to go out of the window.

Reading winning didnt do us any favours but Newcastle are getting sucked into it and Norwich are on the slide too. Don't expect anything against Citeh but after that we have a good run of fixtures that we can get good points from.

I thought the Derry & Mbia pairing was wrong.

I would have changed it at half time because there was no way we were going to soak up pressure like that for another 45.

Poor from Harry today. Midfield needs sorting.

[QUOTE=Wegerle1882;1011378]Why take mackie off? Because he was nakerd.
Why put our goal scorer on the right where he was wasted and bring bothroyd on? So we could try and use betty to hold the ball up to slow down play.
Why not sub a knackered Derry earlier? Because he was doing nothing wrong he was defending .

you are right about derry but what did mackie do? nothing. faurlin must look seriously poor in training because its baffling why he can't get a game.

Im with you on this one Stainrod. Faurlin gets the ball and distributes good passes to help us retain it. Dont understand why Harry is not using him.

If you wanna have control in passing in the midfield you select Faurlin, simples
If your first priority is to break up play you play MBia with Derry.

There is a choice you know

Positive thing we didn't lose this year and place 17 is still in reach.
              Remy looks a great addition.

But we need to address soon that winning games will head us into safety.
Will have to see what HR has up his sleeves with players coming to us and not forget leaving.

Against west ham who run is riot last time we needed two defensive midfielders.

but Harry is hardly going to change an unbeaten team is he. These two played against Chelsea and Tottenham. Harry should have put on an extra midfielder rather than send on Bothroyd half way through the second half

Derry & m'Bia did ok for me, who else is there to come in for them? exactly, HR has to work with what he's got. We have a lot of catching up to do and a 'defensive' side away from home works fine.

But that is why M.Vila & Livermore are inbound, we do need a little more quality I agree.

So lets be positive guys we did ok today and a point gained ;-)

Who says Livermore and M'via are inbound? They are wanted, but that's totally different.

As for not changing a winning team, Park was dropped so why not Derry. 3 games in 8 days is too much for him.

The midfielders are not consistent enough in their performances is the way I see it. They look one week nd average the next

I wish that was true......and a new Center Back and maybe even another striker like Odemwingie or Graham. True 5 more new players is alot but not a lot when you are 6 points isolated.

Disappointed today. Not by the result but by the performance. The number of times we gave the ball away was embarassing. We are a Premier side with some quality players, yet we cannot put two passes together. Unbeleivable! We need to strenghten, in midfield and defence, otherwise it's going to get more complicated. A draw away from home is not that bad, but Reading won twice away from home and A.Villa are winning away as well. To get bombarded the way we did in the second half, get one thinking that's something is wrong.

I agree that it was very disappointing that we treated the ball like a hot potato. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. That is not the way to win football matches.
